I am writing this 2nd review with deep gratitude and respect for the exceptional care my mother-in-law has received over the past two years. During this time, we have witnessed, a second phase, a very difficult and emotional progression in her condition—from being able to walk with assistance and feed herself, to now requiring full support, including help with eating, mobility, and communication. Through every stage of this journey, the staff at this facility have gone far beyond what we could have hoped for. One of the most meaningful aspects of her care is the time and patience the staff dedicate to her daily needs. For the past two years she has required one-on-one assistance to eat, as she takes a long time to chew and swallow safely. Despite the demands on their time, the caregivers consistently show extraordinary patience and compassion, ensuring she is nourished properly and with dignity. I understand this level of individualized attention is not something every facility is able—or willing—to provide, which makes it all the more remarkable. When she was taken off hospice, Washington State took away her reclining wheelchair, the facility ensured she continued to receive comfort and quality of life by providing a beautiful reclining wheelchair, that was donated, that supports her needs, at no charge. I was speechless at their generous act of kindness. Rather than leaving her confined to a bed, as unfortunately happens in some places, they make every effort to keep her comfortable and positioned in ways that promote dignity and well-being. Her bed has electronic controls that allow it to adjust into a seated position and elevate her legs—features that significantly enhance her comfort. But, the staff go the extra mile and get her up, dressed and out to the dining room to eat, then take her to the TV room with other residents to watch movies, and wheel her out to watch live entertainment. The attention to detail in her daily care truly stands out. The staff take the time to dress her in the nice clothing we bring, gently fix her hair, and even place her hats on her—small but deeply meaningful gestures that preserve her identity and dignity. They ensure she is warm and comfortable with soft socks, carefully positioned pillows, and a blanket when she is in her wheelchair. These are the same thoughtful touches a loving family member would provide at home. I have also been consistently impressed with the quality of the food. The staff have kindly shared samples with me, and I can honestly say the meals are nutritious, well-prepared, and appetizing. It gives me peace of mind knowing she is receiving food that is both enjoyable and appropriate for her needs. I have seen fresh blueberries on her salad many times and many other dishes that are excellent!!! Another thing that sets this facility apart is the genuine kindness of the entire team. Every staff member I have encountered greets residents with a smile, speaks to them with warmth and respect, and approaches even the most challenging situations with compassion. Caring for patients with advanced dementia requires not only skill but also a special kind of patience and humanity—and this team exemplifies both. On a personal note, I constantly bring special food and drinks for my mother-in-law, she loves chocolate milk, blueberries and Greek Gods yogurt, and the staff always go out of their way to make sure she receives them. They never treat it as an inconvenience; instead, they embrace it as part of her care. That level of cooperation and attentiveness means more than I can fully express. At 67 years old, I have visited many care facilities over the years for various family members. I can say without hesitation that I have never seen a facility provide a higher level of care, compassion, and attention to detail than this one. They treat my mother-in-law with the same kindness and dignity I would give her myself, and for that, I am profoundly grateful. Thank You!!!!! Brad Skoretz

Kind, compassionate and reasonably priced. My Aunt June was a resident in independent living at first and eventually transitioned to memory care over almost a five-year period. Wonderful staff and flexible policies made the experience a very good one. I would highly recommend.

My mother in law developed dementia. It has been an extremely difficult process for all of her children. Her son chose Village Concepts of Auburn - Brannan Park simply because it was close for visits. Little did we know what an Excellent choice this was. This facility does an impressive job with some of the most difficult residents....Memory Care. The director is amazing. The staff is articulate, professional and hospitable. They take care of the residents like they are family. My wife and I drop by randomly and always find staff taking care of the huge responsibilities they are expected to carry. My thanks and appreciation go to everyone on the team! They somehow take care of each resident on so many levels. We appreciate the staff going the extra mile every day to keep everything and everyone neat, clean and well fed. We also appreciate her room and bathroom being kept spotless, her bed made, her closet neat and clean. Everything is done to the highest standards, inside and out. I believe most of the credit goes to the director of memory care. She hires the best employees and then trains them to do their job at the highest professional level. A simple Thank you does not express my deep appreciation for how well the staff take care of our precious mother and mother in law! I also appreciate the facility, right next to the dining room is a door going outside. It is a beautiful shaded green space with a large park next door to enjoy while sitting and visiting.

My grandfather moved into Brannan Park over a year ago. He lived on his own in Queen Anne nearly his whole life. It's such a big change for someone to move from independence to assisted living. And everyone at Brannan Park made this such an easy process for myself and my grandfather. Especially the Director! She went above and beyond in helping him get in and find peace in his new home. My grandfather was so nervous to move, to complete the paperwork and assessments. She handled the whole process with grace, class and patience unlike anything I've ever seen. The staff is amazing. The caregivers truly care about his wellbeing. If I call with a question, that phone never gets hung up until my question is answered. It's so wonderful to have found a place I know my grandfather can stay at long term. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you to all the staff members at Brannan Park!
