Very nice Retirement community Apartments. Staff is very attentive for residents and visitors. Clean, warm and inviting.

My parents had a sudden health decline out of state, and had really liked this community during a previous tour. The staff here were extremely supportive of them and myself with a sudden need to move, moving from out of state, logistics, needing help on a weekend, and making sure it was a good fit prior to getting deep into the process. Unfortunately it was no longer a good fit, but I am forever grateful to them for all the work they did supporting my family.

Sometimes I play piano here. Its a fun crowd and fun time. I am glad I can bring piece of joy to this place.

My mother lived here for 3 years, she has mild dementia so I , her daughter , am writing this review. Two years ago I would have given Mill Ridge 5 stars plus , but everything changed once my Mom’s health declined. Mill Ridge is great if you or your loved one can can function independently and need minimal assist. If not, go to an Adult Family Home. Mill Ridge is owned by a corporation and it’s all about profit. My Mothers total charges TRIPLED over three years. Because it’s a corporation they follow a rigid schedule, my Mom needed help dressing, walking etc., SO, that meant she must get up, dressed, eat, bathe etc. when staff told her too. Mom is 84 and worked hard all her life. Oftentimes,she did not want to get up when they wanted her too and refused, she even cursed ! Mill Ridge then labeled her, “ violent.” My mom is incontinent and wears depends ,staff would wake her multiple times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, Mom refused , resulting in her bed being wet. This meant more work for Mill Ridge and more charges for Mom. One night staff tried to get Mom out of bed , she refused and staff kept ordering her to get up. My mother swung at staff , didn’t hit her. From that moment everything changed. Mom required hospitalization and then rehab . She was absolutely the same physically but Mill Ridge refused to take her back. Having to tell my Mom she couldn’t go home was one of the hardest things I have done. We both cried as I told her. There were some wonderful caretakers at Mill Ridge,I wish they were all wonderful. I had less than 2=weeks to find my Mom a place to live. Staff at Mill Ridge and rehab were SHOCKED they were kicking mom out. Her rent was on time every month and we did everything they asked. I found an Adult Family Home and they are taking extraordinary care of my Mom , for the same price! Mom looks wonderful and is happy there. I will never forget how abruptly and rudely Mill Ridge threw my Mom out of her home. Don’t be fooled by the updated dining room and facilities. The rooms are outdated and ugly. It’s all about $$$$ at Mill Ridge and it’s like being in the army being there.
