My entire family is so grateful for the care my husband received from the caregivers at Home Instead of Federal Way. Dadson, or Mr. D as he become known in our home, and Josephine, or Josie to us, took excellent care of him with tenderness and expertise. They easily adapted to the different levels of care needed that he passed through while in their care. They not only provided companionship and care for my husband, they supported my needs as well. Their help gave us peace of mind and the ability to keep my husband out of a facility in his final weeks. Our care manager worked with us to make sure we had just the right fit for caregivers in our home.

We have had a very good experience with Home Instead caregivers for my dad who is a veteran. They have been caring, patient and understanding of my dad who has memory issues and work to keep him safe. They have provided excellent care. We are thankful the Home Instead team has been able to have consistent caregivers for him and understand this is important. They have been such a blessing while our family has cared for my dad, we have been able to trust their care when we can't be there. Mala has done a great job connecting and talking to my dad. He works alongside my dad when he wanted to work outside to make sure he is safe. We would especially like to thank caregiver, Rachel K, who has gone above and beyond to help care for my dad. She truly treats my dad as if he is part of her family and has been very supportive and helpful to all our family. She gives him excellent care and is always looking for ways she can help, she works very hard. She truly has a caregiver's heart.

I used Home Instead for almost 3 months. For the most part, the caregivers were very good. The ones I used most consistently were Tia, Beretta, Philomena and Sandra. Unfortunately management/staffing left a lot to be desired. Despite asking numerous times to be notified if there was a change in my caregiver, they continued to send people unexpectedly. Every time this happened, I called & they apologized, yet it kept happening. It was very disappointing as I did not want a parade of new people coming through my home. They also said the case manager would be contacting me at least once a month and I only heard from her the week after I started and the week I had told them I was no longer going to be using their services. I didn’t particularly need a call from her; however, it’s another example of lack of follow-through and attention to detail. I will say Brian was very pleasant and did his best and I always tried to work with him.

The Federal Way Home Instead team has been wonderful to work with. Their caregivers are clearly well trained, particularly in memory care, and they treat our mother with patience, respect, and genuine kindness. Getting started was easy, communication has been clear and reliable, and we always feel informed. They also did an excellent job matching our mother with the right caregivers for her specific needs and personality. Most importantly, our mother is receiving experienced, loving care from people who truly care about her well-being. We are very grateful for this team.

My caregiver makes me happy when she comes and she always keeps busy helping me. We got out on outtings together and have fun! I look forward to her coming because i have trouble trusting people and i know i can trust her. A great company to work with
