Let’s just start with this place is HORRIBLE! I recently had to relocate my mom from this place. The communication sucks. Went to the hospital and the Dr. didn’t want to release her back to Traymore bc of the sores on her body. They didn’t want to do a care plan until I told them I wanted to move her. They stole some of her dresses from her wardrobe when I went to pick up her belongings. I have photos. UT Southwestern has filed a formal complaint with the state along with myself due to the bed sore on her body and the photos I took of the nasty place. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE!

HELL-MORE AT PARK CITIES<br><br>If you love your family member, don’t take them here. On the other hand, if you need to wipe your hands clean, drop off that individual, and throw away the key, this is the right place.<br><br>My mother was admitted on November 13th, and honestly I did not feel at ease with her being there. The first day the CNA OB put my mother in a WWE wrestling move to transfer her from her wheelchair to the bed. Mind you this was done after being given specific instructions in said cases.<br><br>I asked the CNA what he was doing, and he looked at me like a deer in headlights. I’m even more furious as he flings my mother’s shoes across the room. I told him, “I don’t throw my mother’s shoes around, and why do you think it’s OK” ? Let him tell the story, he did nothing wrong.<br><br>It was all bad over the course of those 5 days. From the poop smeared on the seat after being told my mother was unable to go to the toilet, given regular food up to the last day after being told she’s on a mechanical soft diet, poor communication, waiting until the day of discharge to implement a “care plan”.<br><br>The tipping point was Fatmata, the rehab director, conducting a swallow eval by giving my mother hot water instead of room temp. How she had no clue the water was hot is beyond her comprehension. In that moment the incompetence was running at an all-time high.<br><br>The evening my mother was discharged, it didn’t help no one assisted the transport driver nor myself, in transitioning my mother from her bed to the gurney.<br><br>There are some true demons on that staff. Lord knows what may have taken place behind the scenes. They view you as being a problem when things brought to their attention are evidently wrong and need to be corrected.<br><br>Octavia the social worker was dismissive and framed having discussions over issues and concerns as “arguing” or me being confrontational. Crystal the assistant DON was standoffish and along with Octavia, the least bit professional.<br><br>Once I had the opportunity to speak with Tracie, the DON, she genuinely expressed concerns and empathized over what transpired over the course of those 5 days. She was proactive, along with the administrator, Marquita. Both were apologetic and did their due diligence in righting the wrong. Unfortunately by that time, it was way too late.<br><br>SOME staff members showed they were passionate about what they do, but the same can’t be said for others. People’s lives are at stake, and if you don’t have the heart to work in the medical field, find something else to do. In conclusion, save yourself the trouble and time and avoid this place AT ALL COSTS.

My mother was sent to the Traymore after she was very weak from a hospital stay. We weren't sure how temporary or long it would be and we were very skeptical since we have had other family members with bad experiences at facilities like this. The Traymore was absolutely wonderful! The facility is very nice. My mom had visitors daily, and they all commented at how clean and "home like" it was. The staff is what made our experience at Traymore worth this review. Everyone was very professional, first of all. They knew what they were doing and were ready with information. The manager, Octavia, was so helpful. She guided us through the entire process from when we arrived. Even though she wasn't there when my mom was taken in, she made sure to reach out to introduce herself and tell me she was available for anything we needed. When my mom was placed told to start hospice care, Octavia was instrumental in helping us prepare and contact who we needed. She was patient, and if she didn't have an answer she got it for us as soon as possible. I am upset with myself for not getting the names of all the friendly staff members. Everyone, although very busy, was attentive. Yes there were times when a staff person was had to be quick and move on to the next person, they were working. Understandably they have a job to do, but SO MANY were extremely friendly. In my opinion, they went above and beyond to make us all feel welcome. When my mom passed a few days after she came home, my family and I went back to the Traymore to thank them all for the help they gave us. My mom was there around 3 weeks, and she was picky, but she chose to stay there as long as she did. I thought maybe they were so nice since we were always there. I did ask my mom how they treated her when we weren't there and she said everyone was very nice; she would have asked to go home sooner if they weren't. I would recommend the Traymore if you can choose a facility you need to be at. They made the last weeks of my mother's life easier for her and for all of us, and we are so grateful.
