Virginia Green the tax credit manager was very welcoming, warm, informative and kind! However, we experienced great unprofessionalism with the Nursing supervisor Christina. Before performing the entry assessment for admission, on mother… The nursing supervisor Christina informed my family that she would give us a call back, letting us know how the assessment went. During the assssment, she mislead my mother by telling her to find a new PCP, psychiatrist, change her medication from injection to oral form in order to comply with policies at the retreat. My mother did everything she asked in order to prepare for admission and was excited to move as well. A full two weeks passed by and my family had not received any call back or notification that we were promised from Christina. Due to this I reached out to the nurses station at the retreat, she then decided to deny admission to my mother due to the retreat, being “too loud of an environment” and that she would be better off at Herbert T Clark Assisted Living. Very inconvenient and disappointing to not be notified sooner about this decision she made. If you’re in the medical field, you know how important it is to contact either the family, social worker, or patient….. about anything but especially a decision like non admission. None of us were contacted. Her unprofessional actions of failing to notify family of her decision, as well as leading my mother to believe she was accepted put us at a great inconvenience because we had other offers, that we could have accepted but instead we stuck with the retreat. The only thing I can do is thank God because these are all red flags that you don’t want to see when you leave your loved one in a medical facility.

My mom has been at the retreat for 5 years and it has been very good for her. Nothing is perfect but I would recommend.

Very nice place, the nurses and staff were very helpful to mom. She was there 5+ years until her health declined. She later needed to go to a full care facility.
