My mother was in the independent living section for approximately 8-9 years. She was 1 of the many displaced after pipes burst. To move from an independent living to a 2 star motel was extremely difficult for my mom. The kitchen staff would prepare food at the Meridian facility, and bring it via car to the Inn! Food was ALWAYS cold. The Meridian was getting worse as years progressed. My moms cable NEVER worked properly...and I mean NEVER! I have copies of my countless complaints! What literally made me move her OUT was when she was in the rehabilitation side of the Meridian - she had bypass surgery. She had a bright yellow bracelet on her wrist that said "Fall Risk." Why did the nurse allow my 93 year old mother to bathe herself...with NO help? Nurse sat in my moms room as my mom is showering herself - of course with her shower chair. The man in charge actually visited my mom to make sure this occurred. He told me I should look at this as a learning experience. The rehabilitation side of The Meridian is the biggest excuse for a facility I have ever experienced. No one answers phones, no one knows if the patient has had meds, no one knows if and when the patient is to have a bath, there are no extra blankets, sheets, pillows, etc...IN A HOSPITAL. Mom is now thriving in a new facility.

Nice facility but need to hire completely different staff. Nurses are rude and patients are not being taken care of properly at all. They are disregarding basic needs and this needs to be looked into immediately. They won’t answer the phone or help family members that are just trying to help. If you want your parent or family member to be taken care of properly, I would definitely look somewhere else.

The Indian man with the Indian type accent who sometimes answers the phone needs to be talked to by management or be fired for the way he treats people. Everytime one of my family members or I have called the facility he talks very rude and hostile for no reason at all. He raises his voice and even tries to start arguments over the phone for no reason when I’m just trying to get ahold of someone at the facility for a particular reason. He even tries to accuse you of lieing about the reason you’re calling. It’s not difficult to transfer the line to the person to handle my concern. His attitude is horrible and seems to talk to people however he wants for no reason and doesn’t help at all. Puts a really bad look on the facility. This place gets 0 stars.
