I've lived at the Long Community for many years and loved every one!!! I lived at the "old" Long Home untill the New one was built. All 32 of us moved into the 2 floors of the "beautiful" Assistant Living apartments. We moved from having only a bedroom, which was fine, to a lovely handicap accessible apartment. We have an eat in kitchen, which includes a drop leaf table and 2 chairs, micro wave, small fridge with freezer. Loads of cherry cabinets and drawers. Large closet. Going into a large living/bedroom which includes dresser, night stand, small lamp, adjustable hospital bed. Another closet. Going into bathroom, linen closet, large mirror above vanity, also medicine cabinet with another mirror. Towel ring. Raised toilet with grab bar on Wall beside toilet. Next is large walk in ( flat with floor ) shower. Has grab bars all around. Has shower chair. Meals are served in dining room on same floor that you live. Staff is so friendly, you'll get to feel like their all family!!!

My father has been living at The Long Community in assisted living with memory support for almost 5 months. He is well cared for, the food is very good (I've eaten in the cafe several times), he goes on trips, and the activities are much more stimulating than the place he was prior to moving to Long. He is even allowed to have small pets! The staff are always welcoming, professional and are trained to work with dementia residents. I've observed their patience with my father and other residents and I always feel good when I leave after visiting. If you are looking for a high quality, safe, and very clean community for your loved one that is not bottom line focused (Long Community is a not for profit), visit Long!

I was very surprised here. I had to deliver a repair to one of our patients. Walking in you meet a very nice receptionist. Through the lobby there is a very nice cafe where from the menu, looks to have a nice breakfast and lunch cooked to order. Third floor opens up to a great room with a full catering kitchen. Residents rooms are large and they have nurse on hand full time. Common area is where they have meals and was extremely clean. I would not hesitate to have any of my family live here. Solid choice for later in life
