I recently moved a sister to Morning Pointe and am absolutely impressed with the facility, the administrators and the staff I have met. From the first interview with the Community Relations Director, I knew it would be a place whose staff are educated and experienced in dealing with residents who have dementia.
The day my sister moved in the Admissions Coordinator, stayed with her all day, showing her the facility, introducing her to staff and residents and having her engage in activities. I was very impressed because any move for a memory care patient from one facility or private home to another is critical; yet, my sister is happy and comfortable, thanks to the care and guidance given to her. I also appreciated that the Executive Director, assured me that she would be available for any questions or concerns I might ever have regarding my sister’s care.
Additionally, the entire process of admission and transfer of medical records was very coordinated, and I was kept informed of the entire process as it occurred. I am very impressed with the security, cleanliness and cheerful atmosphere the Lantern provides. Every administrative person and staff member I have met has been helpful and friendly.
I am grateful to know my sister is in the care of courteous, capable, educated staff and administrators. I would definitely recommend The Lantern at Morning Pointe to others whose loved ones need the type of skilled care and environment this facility provides.

Our mom started at Morning Point about a year ago, but soon had to transition to The Lantern for memory care. In both locations, the staff have been attentive, kind, and genuinely caring. For example, she absolutely loves coffee in the mornings, and the staff arranged a "wake up" cup of coffee to be delivered to her room to help her get moving and get to breakfast (where she can get another cup of coffee!). The facilities are outstanding and well maintained. The Lantern at Morning Point has provided our Mom with the best care available.

MORNING POINTE HAS BEEN A GODSEND

When our loved had a stroke, she lost her memory. She didn’t know where she was, and couldn’t remember us. We turned to Morning Pointe’s Memory Center for help. They admitted her, cared for her, and have kept her safe. They also gave us wise advice up front that helped all of us get through that difficult first month.

The kind and caring staff know our loved one and address her by name. They have helped her recover by providing her with therapy, mental stimulation, and social opportunities. The wonderful physical therapy team now has her out of a wheelchair and walking again. The medical staff has carefully overseen her health and administered her necessary medications. Her room is lovely and well-kept, and her meals are provided. Their on-site management has carefully overseen and followed her progress. Thanks to their efforts, our loved one has experienced a significant recovery. We are so grateful. We can’t thank them enough.

Fortunately, my wife and daughter had pre-shopped nearby assisted living and memory care facilities before this happened. Morning Pointe was their clear and unanimous choice and we placed a deposit with them. This made things so much easier when our emergency occurred. If you or your loved ones are aging, this step is certainly worth considering. Morning Pointe has both Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments at their attractive location. We recommend them highly.

David B. Cox
