After our mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s the hardest decision we had to make was to move her to assisted living. We were so fortunate to find the Gilbert Residence. From the day she moved in the staff were compassionate through all of her challenges. We found comfort in knowing that mom was cared for and safe. The staff became our extended family and provided loving care. The facility is clean and the décor is cozy and quaint. We were happy to know they go to great lengths to keep residents active and engaged. They have music, activities, celebrations and outings. When mom had visitors we were warmly welcomed. Mom passed away peacefully from Parkinson's. I am grateful that she was in a loving and peaceful place when she passed to her heavenly home.

Could not be happier with the care my mother experienced at the Gilbert Residence. We had a poor experience at another facility and found the Gilbert Residence through care giver references. Initially impressed with the community-based not-for-profit status and then overwhelmed with the caring long-term staff. I truly believe that we had a few more quality years with Mum due to the environment at the Gilbert Residence.

My mom lived in the assisted wing for years then transferred to nursing wing for a few months. I have not one complaint. The staff (from top to bottom) is absolutely wonderful!!! You couldn’t find a better place. Clean, courteous, caring & oh so patient with the residents and their families! Total and complete care

Best facility, hidden little gem! I am a health provider and go to many different facilities. Director of Nursing is very experienced and cares for all staff and residents as if they were family. From the Administrator down to the guest assistants, this place gets that patient care comes first. You can be certain they always act in the best interest of the resident. This is one of the few places I would consider for my loved ones if needed.

My mother has been a resident for the past year and a half and it has been such a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing from the receptionist, the administrative personnel, activities coordinators, to the nursing staff and everyone in between. They treat my mother with respect and it is obvious they care about her. There are a lot of activities and I know she is being well taken care of. This is such a relief during this challenging time when I haven’t been able to visit her personally for months due to the pandemic. They have provided weekly video conferences which has helped tremendously. This is a top notch facility with excellent care.
