The location is excellent in the middle of West Hartford Center (very walkable to restaurants, shops and an excellent library!)<br>The residents are friendly and have established a caring community.<br>The apartments are spacious and well designed . Some have windows looking out on a beautiful courtyard garden and for those who like to walk there is an indoor track.<br>Every holiday is an occasion for celebration.<br>You can be as private or as active as you wish here at the Court of<br>Saint James.

If you are 55 or older, looking for a community and not just a place to live, The Court of St James is perfect. The one bedroom apartments are spacious, with 1.5 baths, most of which have both a walk-in shower and a tub with shower. Though there is a laundry room, many of the apartments have a washer-dryer hook-up for a stackable washer and dryer. There are many amenities which include an indoor walking track; community room; exercise room; billiard room; card room; and library with access to TV. There is also access to transportation to the local Stop and Shop on Thursday mornings and to local medical appointments on Tuesday mornings. Due to COVID-19, currently there are limited opportunities for gatherings, but as recommendations for size of gatherings expand, there will be many activities which include a weekly coffee social; Wii bowling; weekly movies; Supper Club, a monthly dinner which is affordable and catered by a local restaurant; cards; bingo; and current events. The building and grounds which includes a lovely courtyard with tables and benches are beautifully maintained. People here know and look out for one another. It's not just an apartment. It's home and a terrific place to live !
