My loved one by far was a peach. She definitely had her moments. At first this place was awesome, but as soon as my loved one’s dementia got worse and became more agitated they would send her to ER because they couldn’t handle it. At the end they turn her world upside down. Something thing they we were told would take a few hours turned into an overnight, to totally moving to a different room. My loved one was already agitated from what was going on, they could not calm her so off to ER she went again. Then to get a phone call from the director of the facility at 8:30 pm to tell us our loved one could not return to the facility. She had to stay in the hospital for 5 days so that we could find placement for our loved one. And now to be in a totally different environment. The medical staff at the hospital were all in agreement that this whole situation was caused by this facility because of all the changes in that 24 hour period. So if your loved one has any dementia agitation I do not recommend this place. My loved one was not the first and I am sure will not be the last.

Carriage Crossing is very bright and welcoming. The staff is very kind and attentive. My mom has been there for almost a month and is very happy there. The food is quite good, the dining area is large, bright and cheery. The activities team is terrific, keeping the residents active and engaged. And kudos to the ladies auxiliary from the VFW that come over often and do things with the residents.
