Review of The Blossoms at Eureka Springs By Thomas Garrett I want to share my sincere appreciation for The Blossoms at Eureka Springs by recognizing the individuals who truly made a difference during my time here. This facility stands out because of the people who work in it, and several deserve to be acknowledged personally. Renae (Director of Nursing) Renae sets the standard for nursing care at this facility. Her leadership, professionalism, and expectations are clearly reflected in how the nursing staff treats residents every day. The quality of care here is not accidental—it comes from strong oversight and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. Miles (Administrator) Miles has gone above and beyond the role of administrator in ways I have never experienced at any other facility. One moment that truly stands out was when I was feeling sick to my stomach from my medication and asked the kitchen for a snack during a very busy time. Instead of letting it wait or passing it off, Miles personally stepped in, put on a hair net, went into the kitchen, and made me a grilled cheese sandwich himself. That level of humility, leadership, and genuine care for residents is rare and speaks volumes about who he is and the culture he sets here. Kathryn (Daytime Nurse) Kathryn is consistently kind, dependable, and professional. She gives my medications on time and, despite being extremely busy and working hard, she never makes patients feel rushed or ignored. She will stop what she’s doing to help, answer questions, or simply listen when someone needs to talk or vent. Her compassion and patience make a real difference. Courtney (Human Resources) Courtney deserves special recognition for consistently going above and beyond her role in Human Resources. She showed up on Christmas Day to help CNAs pass out meal trays, and on another occasion came in on her day off to help transport a new resident. That kind of willingness to step in wherever help is needed shows true dedication and care for both staff and residents. Madison I want to personally thank Madison for giving me a chance and helping get me into this facility without ever meeting me beforehand. Despite my difficult reputation from previous facilities, she still believed in giving me an opportunity. That decision changed everything for me. This is a special place, and her willingness to look past paperwork and see the person made a meaningful difference in my experience.

My husband suffered multiple traumatic injuries, and now is ready to start rehab. Since we live in Eureka Springs, this was our number one choice. The hospital case manager spent time arranging for us to come in and have a tour this past Saturday, and we were told to come in anytime during business hours which we did. We were met by Sarah, who was second day on her job, and did as best as she could, and was very friendly. We toured the therapy gym which is very tiny, but the therapist seemed very friendly. The therapist then walked us back to the nursing desk to wait for Sarah to finish the tour. Billy, a nurse there, didn't look up or ask if we needed help after standing there for several minutes. I asked him a few simple questions, and was abruptly and rudely told that I should come back on Monday, and I was taking up his time, and taking time away from his patients. He made several rude and condescending comments to me. I learned later from Sarah that he was "head nurse" that day. Wow! Based on his behavior, there is no way that I could in good conscious place my husband under this sort of care. Words do matter, first impressions do matter. There is carpeting in the hallways, and there was an overwhelming smell of stale urine when the front doors opened. My daughter in law toured with me. She described the experience as a flash from a 1970s horror film. The bedroom equipment looked like it was from the 1960s-70s. No televisions in the rooms. I was really hoping that his place would work, as we live 10 minutes away, but we will make the drive to Springdale happily, and every time I drive past, I will be thankful that my husband is not subjected to this place.

When a large tornado blew through Rogers AR, the Blossoms Nursing Center had to close and patients moved to Blossoms of Eureka Springs. The great staff in Rogers continues to this day with the utmost care for their Rogers patients. The staff are dedicated to their patients driving back and forth daily from Rogers AR to Eureka Springs AR. I know their dedication to their patients will continue once they return to Rogers AR. The Director of Nurses, Trish, is professional and kind to her patients and the staff. Thanks so much for your continued love for the Elderly.
