My father started here for rehab and it ended up being his final resting place. The team at Summit, from the medical assistants to the APRNs, has been incredibly kind, helpful, and supportive. There were a few staff members that left something to be desired (inappropriate behavior, lack of urgency, etc.), but they were few and far between. My family and I felt supported from start to finish. We were always able to get our questions answered quickly. I would recommended Summit to other people in a heartbeat.

I stopped by to visit my aunt on June 13th and found her sitting with new friends. Dressed nicely and looking good. We went outside to sit and talk with many other clients. The staff was more than polite. They were there to answer any questions I had and they made sure my aunt had everything she needed. Over all the visit was enjoyable and pleasant.

After being in the hospital for a month, my mom needed to be transferred to a rehabilitation center for physical therapy. I chose The Summit of Plantsville because of the reviews. Let me start of by saying, the reviews/stars aren’t enough for this location. It’s underrated. My mom worked as a CNA for over 30 years and so I’ve been around facilities like this one for most of my life. The Summit is by far the best in all areas. 1. The facility itself is always clean and smells clean. (Normally facilities like this are difficult to smell nice just because of the different levels of care needed). Not to mention, if something doesn’t work or looks bad, they are on top of all the maintenance/ furniture etc. 2. The rooms are more than adequate on anything you can possibly need. 3. The rec rooms/dining hall is huge. Everyday there’s something for the residents to do activity wise, and it’s actually fun. 4. Office staff are ALWAYS available when needed. They will accommodate you and your loved ones to the max of their abilities. 5. The therapists are just wonderful and pay attention. They really want everyone to succeed in their sessions. They take the time to get to know the patients and will take the time to make a connection. My favorite part: 6. The CNAs and nurses: I have NEVER met the most wonderful group of CNAs and nurses in my life. Typically you get a few good ones, nope not here. They’re ALL gems. Truly. My mom has never been this well taken care of in the time she’s been ill. She tells me all the time how wonderful the girls/gentlemen have been. They go above and beyond every single day to give my mom the feeling of being seen/heard. The thought they put into giving care to all their patients is something so incredible. They make sure my mom keeps her dignity. Let’s remember, my mom was the one always taking care of patients so for her, this is new. They’re quick in responding to calls from the patients. Your never left waiting for anything you may need. I truly can’t praise them enough. I never have to worry about her not getting the care she needs while in recovery because they are just that great. I can literally be here for hours writing about our experiences here at the summit but I think you’d get a good sense of what I wrote here already. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere to place your loved one whether it be for therapy recovery or long term, please choose this one. You will not regret it.

My best friend Marie Berardi was admitted yesterday .Staff has been extremely kind and attentive.Admission Director MaryJane Olivera went above and beyond and has visited with her several times today to ensure her needs are being met. Social Worker Donna Doty was very caring as well ! My friend said the food was very good and very tasty! I am a retired nurse of over 50 years and am very familiar with nursing homes and how complex some patients can be,as well as how difficult it can be for people experiencing a stay in long term care.Keep up the good work !

Our Mom spent over 3 years at Summit, the staff was great, they really took a liking to her. We utilized the dining rooms on the holidays which were very nice. They do a lot of activities also. Also, We saw a lot of upgrades done to the facility.
