This was my first time visiting someone at Suffield House. I was pleasantly surprised to find the nursing home to be well staffed and very clean. It was a beautiful day and although my friend wasn’t outside many of the residents were which I thought was great. The person at the reception desk/booth was very courteous and helpful. The check in process was pleasant as well. On the way out I spoke to a couple of residents and they seemed very happy at Suffield House. I noticed too the beautiful flowers hanging in front, a very nice touch.

I have an immense amount of gratitude for the level of care my mom is receiving at Suffield House. When my mom arrived, she was on hospice care, failing to thrive, weighing only 83 pounds, mostly nonverbal, and unable to feed herself. She had also just been displaced from a facility that had closed its doors. It was an incredibly difficult time for us. In just eight weeks at Suffield House, she has gained 10 pounds, graduated off hospice, begun physical and occupational therapy, regained the ability to express her feelings verbally, and can now feed herself independently. The transformation has been remarkable, nothing short of a miracle. The care, attentiveness, dedication, cooperation, and genuine compassion shown by the staff are unlike anything I have experienced elsewhere. Every person here plays a role in creating an environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. Today, Mom and I attended a cookout in the courtyard of Suffield House. The roses were in spectacular bloom. Carrie, our administrator, was making smoothies and staff members were helping wherever needed. There was a true sense of community. What stands out at Suffield House is that everyone is invested in the well-being of the residents. It doesn't matter whether someone works in administration, nursing, dietary services, housekeeping, or maintenance - people step in where they were needed and work together to give our loved ones the best care possible. It reflects a culture where everyone works as a team for the benefit of the residents. The changes we've seen in my mom since arriving at Suffield House have exceeded anything I thought possible. I am so thankful for the care and commitment of everyone who has played a part in her journey.

My Mom was admitted to The Suffield House for physical therapy, after having a brief stay at the hospital (after falling at home)...she seems to be happy, & is thriving there! Everyone is extremely friendly, and the campus is very clean! The CNA nurses are kind, and seem to genuinely care about their patients, taking extra steps to make sure their patients are well cared for, and are eating their meals, as they should.
