I struggled for months to make a decision about moving my mother from Georgia so that she’d be closer to me. Transferring her to Dominion Senior Living was the absolute best decision I made! From the first time we walked in the door to tour the facility, the staff was exceptionally kind, courteous, and compassionate. My mom was in the Memory Care Unit, and over the few months she was there it almost felt like home. Everyone from the leadership, nurses, aides, dining room staff and activities staff made an effort to truly know each resident and their families. I can think of many names of staff that treated my mom and us like family. There are so many that I know I’d forget someone, so I’ll leave it at that. I always knew when I left there that my mom was safe and treated with respect and compassion . As someone with first hand experience of other facilities , I can honestly say that Dominion was above and beyond anything we had experienced before. After my mom passed and we left there for the last time, my husband actually said it felt like we were leaving family, and he was right. I miss seeing “my girls” and will forever be grateful that they were there in my mom’s final months. She could not have been in better hands and hearts! Sincerely, Teresa Wilder

Our experience with Dominion Senior Living was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment our family walked through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth, kindness, and an overwhelming sense of comfort. The entire team made us feel like family, not just visitors. They didn’t just care for our loved one — they truly cared about her. The professionalism of the staff was evident in every interaction. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure my mother-in-law was not only safe and well cared for, but also treated with dignity and respect. The facility itself was always clean, bright, and inviting — a place that felt more like home than a healthcare setting. What touched our hearts the most was how the staff handled the final days of my mother-in-law’s life. We stayed with her around the clock during her last week, and the compassion we received during that time was something we will never forget. The caregivers and team members showed us so much love and support — they continuously checked on us, prayed for us, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their grace and gentleness during that incredibly difficult time brought so much peace to our family. Dominion Senior Living is a special place. It’s more than just a senior care facility — it’s a community filled with people who lead with love and serve with purpose. We will forever be grateful for the care and compassion they gave our loved one and our entire family.

The staff here is amazing. Not only did they care for my mom, they loved her and she loved them. The activity director does an amazing job of keeping residents active and on the go. The CNA's and nurses are top notch. Even the administrative staff is involved with the residents. Our experience here was nothing but good and I would recommend Dominion of Athens 100%.

Edited: Our loved one recently passed away peacefully at Dominion. We'd like to share this letter that we gave them publicly to further commend this place and amazing staff: "Dear Staff and Management, We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the loving care you provided to our family member, Mark from January 8, 2024, until his passing on December 24, 2024. The exceptional communication, quality of meals, attentive care, thorough follow-ups, and every detail in between made our experience with Dominion Senior Living of Athens truly wonderful. Most of all, we are especially grateful for the dedicated people working in Memory Care and, of course, Steve in physical therapy, who all showed a sincere interest in Mark and showered him with so much love and kindness. Their compassion and commitment meant the world to us. We are deeply appreciative of everything Dominion Senior Living of Athens has done for Mark and our family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts." Prior review: Dominion in Athens is a really fantastic place! It's clean, spacious and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The best thing about Dominion in Athens is the staff; they are friendly, caring and devoted with a heart for seniors. Our family member, who is a resident in the memory care section, is thriving. The food is good and wholesome and there are always plenty of activities, outings and social gatherings. I highly recommend Dominion Senior Living of Athens for anyone in need of senior assisted living.

Show was excellent! Many things for kids to do. Food was great. We even looked at a couple rooms and received a folder of information. Very pleased.
