TURNOVER. TURNOVER. TURNOVER. I just found out that the director of the memory Unit is gone and no communication was sent to the families about it. From our standpoint, he was extremely helpful, responsive and caring but I also know there are usually 2 sides to every story. They have had enough different nurses there to staff a hospital and not a one has ever been pleasant or particularly helpful when I requested information about the resident's medications. There does not appear to be any formal comprehensive orientation as staff are often at a lost as to how to contact people, find needed oxygen tanks, etc. and this was apparent even before the pandemic and the extra challenges that reigned down as a result. However, on the plus side, like other people here, I want to particularly call out Challah and Mandy who have been so helpful and pleasant from my first encounter with them. They are gems in a field where such caring can often be hard to find. I emailed the petson from corporate about something - no answer in over a week. I left 2 messages for the regional nurse since Monday - no answer and these are the higher ups???????
