Staff was very friendly and attentive. Helped my mom get quickly on the road to recovery after back surgery. Special thank you to Brooke, the director of admissions, for her hospitality and her eagerness to get my mother transferred there from the hospital to make her more comfortable. My mom is now home and making great progress in her recovery thanks to riverside nursing home.

The scales on my feet 1 inches thick along with I had fell into my pillow & didn’t have the ability to know to turn my head as I felt myself fading I thought “ turn your head !” THANKFULLY I DID ! priorly it took me 10 minutes to pull myself up to try to eat ( had pushed call night to no avail) I hadn’t had my blood work done on a biweekly as was per doctor requirements & when back to a REALL facility my blood count was 3.5 . I lost motor skills memory hair n muscle.. I lost my will to live ! Ironic how AGTER my Bosnians demanded I be transported I was otw to recovery even though a long road here I am 4 yrs later .. now able to walk talk eat n write on my own!

My Husband became ill (UTI) at this place and the nurses wanted him to get care at a hospital and the chain of commands refused medical treatment to him for 2 weeks. After seeing more bloody Urine they send him to Mckeesport Hospital and took him back to Riverside in a day in a half. I was not happy with the way that was handled because he was still in medical danger. Called 911 and had him removed again and sent to Jefferson Hospital which he is still in the hospital getting treatment. Dehydrated -bed sores-Urine burns and sensitivity. Not going back if that helps on the place. The nursing staff tries their best but other people in administration run the place and money is king not the patients! Bad!!!!
