Regent of Stow is a wonderful community offering private rooms. The team is led by a very compassionate team, Sarah R as Executive Director and Ricky as the Wellness Director. If you haven’t had a chance to tour the community I strongly encourage you reach out and take a look.

EDITED TO ADD: We recently moved my grandmother out of this facility, and in hindsight, we wish we had done so much sooner. While there were minor improvements over time, the inconsistency of care and poor food quality remained ongoing issues. One of the most concerning aspects was the high staff turnover, particularly at the leadership level—we saw six different executive directors during my grandmother’s stay, which contributed to the lack of stability and continuity in care. Additionally, staff frequently displayed a lack of empathy and compassion, with many being outright rude to residents and visitors alike. Security was also an issue. There was little to no monitoring of who entered or exited the facility, raising serious concerns about resident safety. Visitors could walk freely throughout the building without being questioned. When my grandmother was hospitalized, no one from the facility reached out to check on her well-being or inquire about her potential return—a clear indicator of the lack of genuine concern for residents. For a facility that is one of the newest in town, this location offers subpar conditions for residents who deserve far better. Original post: My 96 year old grandmother has been at the facility for 18 months. In that time, the nurses have tried to make her take medication that wasn’t hers, “lost” her correct medication, become rude, lied about giving her showers, and just recently, confronted and verbally attacked her. She pays more than $3,500 a month for terrible, inadequate food (tonight’s dinner was a ham and cheese sandwich), no showers, for no one to come clean her room as promised, and for no one to do her laundry. Not to mention a fire here a few months ago in the laundry room. The call buttons never work. There have been plenty of stories of people being left in the bathroom or on the floor for hours with no one coming to their aid. The staff turnover here is extremely high and I’m hard pressed to find one person who actually cares about the residents. No one even acknowledges people in the hallway. My grandmother asked for something in the dining room and was told “I’m not your servant!” by an employee. I would warn anyone from coming here. If I could give this negative stars, I would.

My mom was here for 9 months (August-April) She received good care, but the turnover rate for aides and nurses during this time was high. I believe there are only a few aides that are still here that were here when my mom came. My mom liked the food, the room, and the aides/nurses. Unfortunately my mom had to leave because she is declining mentally.

I’m a physician who works in long-term care and assisted living facilities. Every person that I have sent to Regent Of Stow has had an outstanding experience. The staff is timely. The building is new ..this is a place I would want to put my loved one. I am delighted to be affiliated with such a wonderful group of people. Every patient is special. I would recommend this to you with no reservations.
