About Regency Park

Regency Park is an assisted living and independent living community in Portland, Oregon. The facility serves seniors across a spectrum of care needs, including those with memory care requirements.

Family experiences at Regency Park are decidedly mixed. Several families praise the quality of staff and the welcoming environment, one noted that her 105-year-old friend appreciated the food by day three and was pleased her room felt like an apartment rather than an institution. Others highlight the personalized attention from management and care teams, describing seamless transitions and attentive daily support. The physical environment earns consistent recognition as clean, well-appointed, and thoughtfully designed. One family wrote, "I could decorate it as I liked," reflecting flexibility around personal space. However, a significant number of families report serious concerns about memory care operations, citing instances of inadequate hygiene, insufficient oversight, multiple falls among residents, and staffing challenges. These accounts describe gaps between stated services and actual care delivery, particularly as residents' cognitive decline progressed.

Regency Park holds a 4.1 out of 5 star rating based on 42 Google reviews. The wide range of experiences, from five-star praise to one-star accounts of neglect, suggests outcomes may vary considerably depending on care level, timing, and individual circumstances.

My Mom lived here a few years. As her memory declined, the care stayed the same. In the end they moved her to memory care and she had no toothbrush or hairbrush for a month. When I came back from a long trip her hair was matted and her clothing was soiled with urine and feces. Basically they stuck her in a room and fed her 3 times a day not even checking to see if she had consumed breakfast while leaving a lunch tray. They just wanted their monthly ATM withdrawal of 12,500 dollars. They are unorganized and uncompassionate! We moved Mom when I got back to an adult foster home where she is doing really well surrounded by people who care.

This place might be ok if someone doesnt need care but dont leave your parent here if they need assistance .

Holding my breath. They just got bought by another company. That usually means budget cuts and staff cuts. They already run a skeleton crew. Im keeping the ombudsman number handy.

I visited for 2 hours today. Front desk is always friendly and helpful. I love the newer check in system. Decor of my friends room and residence in general seems comfortable. TBH i thought the lunch food at Regency would be a bit better and more artfully presented. I spent May 28, 29 and 30 at your neighbor, St. Vincent Hospital, and was amazed at the wonderful food. I would rate their dinners, salads and sandwiches a 10/10. Breakfast maybe a 7. Pretty amazing because the cafeteria fare is just so so. But you do have a very nice facility. I look forward to visiting again.
