Very Disappointing Experience<br><br>My mother spent approximately 2½ years at Potomac Falls Health & Rehab, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. As her family member and only advocate, I repeatedly expressed concerns and made requests regarding her care, but many of those requests were ignored or never followed through.<br><br>There were multiple occasions when my mother was left in feces for long periods of time. I would call the facility to address concerns, and there were times when my calls were ignored or my concerns were not properly addressed despite repeated attempts to communicate with the staff.<br><br>I was also very unhappy with the basic care she received. She was not consistently bathed on the days we were told she would be. There were visits when I found her with dirty clothes and a visibly dirty face. It was extremely upsetting to see my mother in that condition and feel like I had to repeatedly ask for basic care to be provided.<br><br>I was also disappointed with both the nursing staff and the business office. Communication was often frustrating, and I did not feel that my concerns as her family member were taken seriously or handled appropriately.<br><br>The food was another major issue. In my opinion, much of the food was almost inedible, which was especially concerning for someone who depends on the facility for her meals.<br><br>After 2½ years, I cannot say that I was satisfied with the level of care my mother received. I believe families should be able to trust that their loved ones are being treated with dignity, cleanliness, respect, and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not consistently our experience.<br><br>Overall, based on my experience, I would not recommend Potomac Falls Health & Rehab to anyone who is looking for a facility to care for their loved one.

The staff are extremely caring and professional, going above and beyond in caring for my family member. The facility is also clean and clearly well-maintained.

The staff were so helpful and kind to my mother-in-law. She needs a few weeks of rehab after a fall. The reception, the carers, and the nurses, were all so calm and reassuring and we felt good about leaving her in their care.
