My dad was here for about 5 weeks after a hospital stay. The staff was attentive and treated him well. They were also very respectful to me and my kids when we visited. A special thank you to Rick, who my dad had a special bond with. Rick always called him Pop and I knew he was in good hands with him. Unfortunately, my dad passed away 2 weeks ago. I received a sympathy card signed by several staff members. Really good experience for my family.

The Nursing director (DON) at Peak Resources has a very unprofessional attitude with no respect for the family of residents at this facility. We have had at least three meetings I have been involved with two about communication and professionalism at this facility. It continues to be ignored. My wife’s mother had taken a fall this past Friday and we were out of town and we were not informed she had fallen at 3 am in the morning. We know she is going to fall that is not the issue the issue is lack of communication with staff and residents families. We came home Sunday to find my mother in law with blood on her blouse. My wife asked her what had happened and she told her she fell. My wife then went to the nurses station to see what they knew. They had no idea she had fallen. So today being Monday my wife reached out to the Charge nurse (Casey ) for assisted living and the director of nursing to ask to talk with them. We got a very positive response from the Charge nurse and the DON Jessica responded that she hadn’t had time to complete her investigation. Today being Monday. No acknowledgment that we weren’t informed nor had she been checked out by anyone with bruising on her hip area. Due to the lack of leadership in the facility no one has the time to read the notes which are put in for communication about what has happened on each shift. So my wife’s mother went almost 48 hours without anyone checking on her hip bruises.. When asked if she thought her text was okay she did not think it was rude. It was our opinion that it was rude and unprofessional. Very. She took no accountability or apologized for the situation she is in charge of. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable behavior by a nursing director in that position. Condescending and no concern !

I wouldn't put a rabid yard dog in this facility!! My friend had rehab there after knee replacement, & although the physical therapy staff were great, the rest of his stay was a nightmare! No one offered to assist in a bed bath & for days ! I went over & bathed him until he could safely walk. The beds weren't changed, & when asking for pain medication, it would be 2 hrs b4 they brought it! The food was awful, & when we complained, we were told by staff that the food was contracted through a food service agency! Even speaking to the Director didn't change or improve a thing!! He was very happy when discharged!!

The nursing staff was caring in the Assisted Living area, I think they truly cared about the patients. The management level is horrendous, all they care about is filling the beds. Couldn’t care less about the patients needs or how their decisions affected a patient. They have problems with getting patients medication ordered correctly, the physical therapy group never followed the doctor's orders. Peak put a new administrator in the Cherryville location in the early part of 2024 and he has ruined this nursing home in every way. We were paying customers, I can’t imagine how bad it must be to work for the new management. I hope this comment helps you not make the same mistake I made by putting someone at this location.
