I notice that some of the caregivers lacked a sense of urgency, as if the patients (guest) were cattle. Also, once, I'd received a phone call from a loved one staying there, who was having a difficult time working her iPhone. I could not get the staff to help. I literally had to leave work to see if my loved one was OK. There seemed to be little team work between the masked lady at the desk and the nurse's station on the 2nd floor.

I'm very concerned about their treatment of customers and patients. My sister was banned as a patient, my employee was banned as a visitor. A freind was continually not allowed to discuss care with the manager. I had an unpleasant experience while checking in my mother, they did not want me in the waiting room. So I placed my mother in a different place at less than 1/3 the cost with superior care. I simply don't understand anything about their operation. Now, possibly the people associated with me are trouble, right? But none of us are banned anywhere else! Literally people outside the doors of the place whisper to me, don't bring your mother here!

The staff were very patient and provided excellent care to my father who is 92 and presented with special needs. Those needs were addressed appropriately and he and I were kept up to date with his progress. The social worker Diane was amazing and kept the channels of communication at long distances and we are so grateful for her.

Since this first post my father received a huge bill. He was a rehab pt and it should have been covered by Medicare. I have tried in vain to get an explanation of this bill. Every time I call I get answering machine and have left a multiple voicemail without response. This is unacceptable.

Parkshore offers a great living experience for individuals seeking comfort, beauty, and an enriching lifestyle. I have lived at Parkshore for eight years and have made wonderful friends and connections. The staff is uniformly competent and caring, and the social activities are exceptional. If you're looking for a place for yourself or a loved one, Parkshore is the ideal choice!

I’ve been at Parkshore for over 6 years as an independent, and am very happy to recommend it. I visited many retirement communities (some 6-12) in and around Greater Seattle before settling here.
With the stunning views, next to a beach park, Lake Washington, and a delightful neighbourhood of stores, banks, restaurants etc - that part was easy.
Add in the splendid staff from the directors down through all levels such as food, care and maintenance, PLUS a host of activities and committees sealed the deal. I used to be an athlete enjoying and teaching many sports. So having the first rate fitness center where one can either do your own thing, or have help and classes at NO extra cost is a complete clincher.
In addition, I nearly forgot to mention the swimming pool and hot tub!
