Downsizing was a little intimidating but once we visited Pacific Place, it felt like our next home. Within a couple of months we had a couple of dozen wonderful, intelligent friends. We have options to enjoy the symphony, library visits, local plays, visiting lecturers and musicians. Transportation is provided for events and grocery shopping. But it’s also private living, as much as you want.

Pacific Place is perfect for me. It’s small and personal so I get to know everyone, residents and staff. There’s lots of independent opportunities to walk two blocks to our little downtown with a choice of good restaurants and shops. We do Not have a meal plan, which attracted me. I prepare meals most of the time and go down to Big Sky for dinner often. Our bargain menu offers a choice of meals for $8.50. It’s a wonderful restaurant. I still drive but am grateful for the van trips for the symphony and other events . Pacific Place works for me!

My mother wisely realized her house in Glendale had gotten to be a burden, so she moved to Pacific Place in 2001. She was a resident there for 14 years, until she passed this past December, 2015. The location in Old Orchard couldn't be better. The apartments are lovely, roomy & the grounds are beautiful.Having Big Sky Cafe down the hall is a big plus. But the real blessing was having Jane & Dave Sanders, the owners, playing such a big part in the residents' daily life. The staff is very caring and there are engaging, wonderful activities. . It was a Godsend for my Mom. Kim Berge

I am grateful that my 95 yer old mother lives at Pacific Place and has been happy there since she came 8 years ago. The personal attention and scale of residence provide a supportive community that has enabled her to live largely independently all this time. The staff are well selected for a strong service orientation and genuine interest in helping residents. There are plenty of activities, like excursions to Baseball Village, on site exercise classes, and even bridge games. Having an excellent restaurant attached that offers a discounted rate to residents is a tasty alternative that is superior to a steam table, large cafeteria meal service at other institutions. It is a great comfort to me, half a continent away, that mother has such great care. My mother is very happy there too!

Pacific Place is THE GREATEST! I think that having my mom live there has actually extended her life. They have a wide variety of things to do, she has met a lot of fun people and she is more active now than she was 10 years ago. She walks all over Webster Groves!
