So Much Care in One Place

Our Memory Lane neighborhood has been designed to meet the particular needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, including spacious and secure courtyards with walking paths. We also add the nationally respected “Landmarks for Living” and “Music & Memory” programs to the mix.

Thanks to “It’s Never 2 Late,” (iN2L), a computer-based program that provides unique, meaningful experiences to stay connected, our 24/7 skilled nursing (and memory support) staffs have more time to provide the personal care that’s so essential to staying active, engaged and flourishing.

Our short-term Rehab and Therapy Center, which is administered seven days a week, employs the latest methods to help your loved one rebuild strength and regain mobility.

Commitment Centered on Your Lifestyle

Our six independent living communities cover the complete spectrum of lifestyles, united by dignity, leadership, exceptional quality and value. Our two assisted living communities feel more like independent living, providing keen attention to your care — but only when you need it. And our six skilled nursing and memory support communities offer 24-hour care along with short-term rehabilitation and a wide range of activities.

Independent Living

You’re not like anyone else. And neither are Bethesda’s independent living communities. Whether you prefer the energy and sophistication of urban living or the outdoor charms of a 45-acre backyard — or something with a little of both — Bethesda has a community that suits you perfectly. And while our six independent living communities are located throughout the St. Louis area, they all share qualities that are essential to your happiness and good health.

Assisted Living

Boutique Lifestyle, Personalized Care.

The difference between assisted living at Bethesda and assisted living everywhere else is simple — we make sure the “assisted” part never gets in the way of the “living” part.

We understand that while you may need help with activities of daily living, medication management or other challenges, what you really want is a life that’s as active, meaningful, and independent as you can have.

Because we personalize the care for every person who lives in our communities, you — or your loved one — will always feel safe and totally cared for. But you’ll also feel totally free to live the life you choose. That’s the difference Bethesda can make.

Come see how our customized assistance can lead to a life filled with purpose, good health and contentment.

Skilled Nursing

Providing Quality Care Is Our Ultimate Goal

The skilled nursing professionals at Bethesda are a lot more than highly-trained nurses, certified nurse assistants, therapists and aides. They’re exceptional individuals who possess a skill that simply can’t be taught—compassion.

No matter which of our nursing home care communities you visit, and no matter if your visit involves skilled nursing care, long-term care, memory support, or short-term rehabilitation, you’ll feel their compassion, their authentic concern and their joy to be working with you and your loved one every time they see you.

Our short-term rehabilitation features highly individualized care plans delivered by supportive and inspiring professionals. And with daily therapy sessions—including respiratory therapy seven days a week—that focus on the critical needs of orthopedic, post-surgical and stroke recovery, our patients rehab faster and find their way home sooner.

Because at Bethesda, none of our six skilled nursing communities resemble what you may perceive a nursing home to be. During your visit, you’ll find that our buildings are clean and odor-free. Ask about the full calendar of activities that keep our residents and patients as busy as they want to be. And each community has a courtyard or outdoor area, perfect for relaxing or visiting with family.

Come see how the right people in the right place make Bethesda the right choice for your skilled nursing needs.

Memory Care

Groundbreaking Memory Support in a Comforting, Safe Place.

No matter how common Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia have become, it doesn’t make it any easier to watch our loved ones struggle with the devastating effects of these relentless diseases. As leaders in Memory Support, we make the onset of memory loss easier to bear—for you and your loved one—by bringing purpose, confidence and helpful routines to the lives of the people we serve.

My stepdad has been at Bethesda Southgate for about 2 years. I didn't know anything about this facility prior to him going there so I didn't know what to expect. I had heard horror stories about nursing homes but I had no personal experience prior to this.
Contrary to the stories I heard, I have found Bethesda to be a really great place. I feel at ease knowing that my stepdad is well cared for when I can't be there.
I have gotten to know a couple of employees that I just love. I feel that they are good representatives of what Bethesda offers for both residents and their families. Susan is the first face you see at the front desk. Warm, friendly and knowledgeable. You feel welcome when you walk in the door. Joe works in activities and, like Susan, exudes warmth and caring. He is a friend to all who cross his path. He talks and interacts with the residents not because he has to, but because he wants to. His kindness toward my stepdad and the other residents just blew me away.
I can't say enough good things about this facility and I feel so fortunate that my stepdad landed in this wonderful place.

My wife's step dad has been here for a couple of years. The staff is always very friendly and attentive to his needs. We seldom need to ask for anything for him, but when we do, our request is met with a smile and he is taken care of. The staff seems engaged with all residents. Susan at the front desk, and a young man named Joe are very aware of his needs and whereabouts. They talk to him often and always address him by name. We feel good about where he is living.
