I cannot say enough good things about this agency and those they employ. The woman who worked with my nana for over two years became a part of the family, and was with us proving high quality care and companionship until the end. The whole family felt supported, and as the one arranging the care and working with the folks who run the company, I appreciated the communication, flexibility, and willingness to come up with creative solutions. They were always focused on what was best for my grandmother and because of her caregiver she was able to stay at home longer than we ever imagined. I wouldn’t hesitate to strongly recommend Nutmeg and their caregivers to anyone.

My experience with Nutmeg Home Assistance was exceptional. My 90 year old mother returned to her apartment from short term rehab and kept falling; resulting in multiple trips to the ER. I contacted Anna on a Friday before Labor Day and she was able to quickly find an aide to come right after the holiday weekend. The aides we had were wonderful. I knew upon meeting them that they were very trustworthy and would be the right fit for mom. They were very caring and compassionate and knew how to handle my mother, even on her moody days. My mother also enjoyed the companionship and we felt like the aides were part of the family. I have referred a few of my friends to Nutmeg and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for assistance for aging loved ones.

My mother fell and needed significant assistance after time in a rehab facility. While she lived in an assisted living facility, my family felt she needed more one-on-one attention to ensure her safety. I reached out to Anna at Nutmeg Home Assistance ahead of her return home to plan mom’s support. Anna quickly coordinated 24 hr care. Her incredibly compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable team of aides took copious notes about mom’s needs. Anna communicated care updates to me and after a few weeks we were able to adjust mom’s care to 15 hrs/day. While caring for my mom, my dad suddenly became physically needier. Once again Anna made adjustments to her staffing schedule to accommodate care for both my mom and dad. When dad entered Hospice care, Anna pivoted again and her team tenderly ensured his passing was peaceful. I can not say enough about the responsiveness, expertise, dedication, and flexibility of Anna and her Nutmeg team. They supported mom, and then both my parents, for over 9 months. Nutmeg saved my parents, extending my dad’s life and allowing him to spend his final months with his wife (versus in a skilled nursing facility). Nutmeg is staffed with angels and I’m deeply grateful for the professionalism, grace, and attention they gave my parents when they needed it most. Also worth mentioning is that Dad’s Hospice caregivers raved about the care Nutmeg offered my dad. I highly recommend Anna and Nutmeg Home Assistance.
