I just completed several weeks of in-home physical therapy with Gerry Cruz from National Home Health Services, and I feel compelled to write this because outstanding professionals deserve to be recognized. I underwent surgery to reattach a completely torn hamstring — not a minor strain, but a full detachment. It’s a serious injury, a serious surgery, and a recovery process that requires patience, discipline, and the right guidance. From the very first visit, Gerry made it clear that this was going to be a smart, structured recovery. His mantra was simple and consistent: “RESPECT THE WOUND.” He said it often — and it mattered. As someone who tends to push limits and think I can outwork any setback, I needed someone who understood both the physical healing process and the mindset of a stubborn patient who wants to move faster than biology allows. Gerry struck that balance perfectly. He knew when to hold me back, when to challenge me, and when to remind me that long-term success requires short-term discipline. Every session had purpose. Nothing was random. He explained the mechanics behind each movement, the reasoning behind progression, and the risks of doing too much too soon. He paid attention to detail — posture, positioning, activation — the kind of detail that separates average care from exceptional care. Beyond the technical skill, his professionalism stood out. Always punctual. Always prepared. Always focused. But he also brought encouragement and a steady confidence that made the process feel manageable instead of overwhelming. Recovery can be humbling. Gerry made it constructive. In-home physical therapy requires a high level of trust. You’re inviting someone into your home during a vulnerable time. Gerry earned that trust immediately and reinforced it every visit. Tonight was our final session, and I’m walking stronger, moving better, and far more confident than when we started — and that’s directly tied to his guidance. National Home Health Services should be proud to have someone of his caliber representing them. If you’re fortunate enough to have Gerry Cruz as your physical therapist, you’re in very good hands. And yes, Gerry — I will continue to respect the wound.

Gerry crutz was assigned to be my physical therapist. My name is Alethea Thomas. I was visiting my family in Brambleton, Virginia. I Slipped on some stairs and fractured my feamer. Upon being released from the rehab, my doctor said that I couldn’t put any weight on my leg. Gerry came out to assess the situation. He showed me what to do and put my case on hold until the doctor released me from weight restriction. From that point Gerry worked very hard with me to get me back on my feet. I wish everybody had a therapist like Gerry. He’s the best. I want to thank Gerry for his dedication to my case and my needs. . Thank you Gerry I’m heading back home now.(Atlanta) . I appreciate you Alethea Thomas

Rami, my PT was awesome. He worked me hard on all the exercises and I advanced quickly. In addition he was always pleasant and eager for me to do better each week. I highly recommend him and his services. Thank you Rami.
