I have lived at Mountain City for almost five years and have nothing but positive things to say. I have found staff to be helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable. Dietary does a good job with meals and snacks, giving us choices as to what we want to eat. We have activities everyday giving us something to look forward to. We paint, play bingo, do trivia and many other things. We have a hairdresser who comes in every week, providing us with cuts, styles and even color. Our rooms are cleaned daily, laundry does an excellent job with our clothes and the maintenance department works hard to keep the building in top notch form. The CNAs (who we have the most contact with) are kind, friendly and hard workers. They take great care of us and seem to enjoy doing it. There is a monthly meeting where we can air out grievances, praise worthy employees and ask any questions we may have. There are trips to Walmart, local restaurants and last month we had a cookout. All in all it's a nice place to be. I feel at home here; welcome to safe and loved.

My 85 year old mother just had a recent stay at mtn city for rehabilitation purposes. I cant say enough about how wonderful she was treated. Theresa in admissions made the process very smooth from the time we walked in the door. Lori the social worker helped with anything we needed and answered all questions. The 1st floor staff (white building) we couldn't say enough about. From nurses to aides to cleaning personnel, transport, and maintenance. Everyone showed much compassion and respect. Physical Therapy helped my mom finally return home. They did a fantastic job and got her up and moving again. We appreciate everything you have done for our Mom (Alice). I wouldnt hesitate if anyone has an elder parent.

My brother was a resident at this facility. I would like to give a good review but I cannot. Care was hit or miss depending on who was assigned. Water was rarely provided for drinking. Call bells rarely answered in a timely manner. Cleanliness was rarely tended to. My brother called me for me to have them care for him. He needed medicine and needed to be cleaned. I would then call the desk to have someone check on him. Please consider your options.
