I have NEVER seen such a poor rehab facility in my life. Uneducated office employees, rude nurses, and terrible therapy sessions. One day after my mom got her sling removed from a broken arm, we got a letter from insurance that she was denied coverage and she could function on her own. At this time they said she could walk 50’ on her own with a walker, get up on her own, and use the bathroom on her own. All three of these tasks she cannot do on her own whatsoever. We asked Morningside to show us that she can do these tasks, and they refused to show us. When we called them out on it, Jasmine and Charlene both refused to talk and walked out of the room immediately. What they reported to insurance each week was completely false. Jasmine and Charlene were absolutely clueless and not on the same page at all. I asked Charlene several times about admission paper questions, she had no idea how to answer and just pushed the paperwork off on me and told me to fill it out. Jasmine the social worker was no help at all. She has zero interest in getting the patients better. She just wants to push them out. Both offices of Charlene and Jasmine were a disaster. Charlene is in charge of admissions and has patient files and paperwork all over her desk and office like a mess. Jasmine has an open case of beer in front of her desk for everyone to see when they walk past. The therapy is supposed to be 30 minutes a day, you get 10 minutes of pathetic therapy if you’re lucky. Other residents told us that they don’t get therapy sessions and the facility lies and puts on the weekly paperwork they got the therapy sessions. The facility itself is dirty, and outdated. The rooms smell, they don’t clean them or even try to make them look appealing to the patient. Prior to her stay, we heard nothing but negative things about Morningside, but after witnessing it first hand, I can agree it is the worst rehab facility I’ve ever seen in my life and will never, ever recommend someone to stay here. I could go on and on about specific situations that were awful. I’ll be reporting them to the state and any other health care outlets so people know how poor of an establishment Morningside really is. I’ll be sharing this review on all my social media outlets and local news outlets so no one else makes the mistake of giving this facility money. My mom's health got worse during her stay at Morningside. You’re there to get better, NOT worse. They're lucky to get a 1-star review, it should be 0, but that is not an option.<br><br>UPDATE: They waited until this review to reach out and discuss our concerns. A lot of good that does our family after they reported false information to insurance. I also reported them to the State of Wisconsin. I hope someone comes in and shuts them down!!
