I will just put it plain simple so everyone understands this. I would NEVER send my mother back here again. While we were very pleased with the Assisted Living building, the nursing home and rehab building left us very frustrated and disappointed. Mom was there for 2.weeks before we moved her back home. The Doctor who would round on her literally walked out when I told him I had one last question and he said I have other patients to see and walked out the door. Dr. Hernandez changed meds they didn’t even need changed. They were to give my mom Lasix as directed, and he kept giving her a lower dose, which caused her legs and feet to swell really bad. On top of her having congestive heart failure this is not good at all. It could be very life-threatening. The nursing home is VERY understaffed therefore the care was minimal. Response times after pressing the call button could be 30-60 minutes, if ever. Briefs were not changed For hours and hours which even led my mom to be going in the bed and sitting in it for a long periods of time. I won’t complain about physical therapy as I thought they did an I won’t complain about physical therapy as I thought they did a good job however, I never got an update after a week of her being there and they did not order physical therapy to work on steps like I had asked them because that’s what we needed to work on in order to get her home and up her stairs. We did meet several times to address these issues and while we were assured of changes, they never happened. I have never in my entire life see my mom with a bedsore. She ended up getting one while she was there. I would never recommend this facility to my worst enemy. He definitely need more help.

My husband was there for physical therapy
and Peyton and her assistant’s were excellent and had him walking within 2 wks.
On the other hand, the nursing care had no apathy for their patients. The weekends and nighttime’s were poorly managed.Had to ask for bath towels and cloths, bed changes etc.
When inquired about his meds they said “ I just do what I’m told”. Food left a lot to be desired. Would not recommend going here.

My 86-year-old father was here for two weeks after a hip replacement and we had a wonderful experience. Most notable was the dedication of the team, from the nurses and doctors, to the PTs, front desk staff, and facility maintenance. We found everyone to be attentive, thorough, and kind. Numerous staff members commented to us that they had worked elsewhere, but that the Lodge was their favorite because the emphasis was truly on the patient. Highly recommend.
