We moved my rather nervous mother to the Lakes of a litchfield in Pawleys Island nearly 7 months ago. The staff there, particularly Julia and Elizabeth, have greatly exceeded our expectations by providing genuine interest in mom. From introducing her to other residents, assisting her in signing up for daily excursions and functions to staying communicative with me about her ever improving progress. It is very comforting knowing that she is in such great care. It has provided me and my wife with trendies relief. I would reccomend Lakes of Litchfield to any family looking at options for senior leaving, whether independently, assisted or full care.

From the first moment we met with the staff (Julia, Jamie Prosser, and Jamie Philip), we have had nothing short of a wonderful experience with transitioning our mom to The Lakes. They all go above and beyond when it comes to making sure mom is safe, comfortable, and involved. Julia is in constant contact with me and my brother regarding our mom, which helps us breathe easier. As with most cases of transitioning someone from their regular life to their new life at The Lakes, me and my brother have faced many challenges. However, everyone at The Lakes have gone above and beyond to insure that we made the right choice of places to move mom into. In addition to all of that, the facilities are top notch, clean, and well maintained and the other residents are very warm, inviting, and welcoming.

There are three people at the Lakes that truly make it special. Two deserve very special honorable mention. I call the angels on earth! Mary and Sandra have been here for years. They have treated our mother like we would. In fact, they have visited her when she has been in the hospital in thier off time! Who else would do that?? They are now family!! Another young lady who hasn’t been here as long but she is a special person and I’ve witnessed her grow here bc of her ability and her caring heart. Dahlia is a future Mary or Sandra in the making. Homes like this are nice bc of the building. However, nice furniture doesn’t matter without special caring people. These three ladies deserve honorable mention!

My family and I could not be more grateful for the care, compassion, and professionalism shown by the staff here. They treat every resident with dignity and kindness, always taking the time to make them feel comfortable and valued. Staff are always willing to answer questions, provide updates, and go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels informed and supported. I highly recommend the Lakes of Litchfield to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality care for their family member.
