This is a charming nursing home with caring staff and engaged management!
1 / 4CMS Care Compare
Reviewers largely praise the nursing and rehabilitation staff at La Dora for their warmth, communication, and attentiveness, especially during difficult hospital-to-rehab transitions. However, a serious complaint about a death and a lack of follow-up communication after a management change raises concerns worth investigating further. Overall sentiment is mixed but weighted positive.

Making the decision to place my mother in a rehabilitation facility after her fracture was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. When we first arrived at LaDora Nursing and Rehabilitation, I was a little hesitant because the building looked older. I quickly learned that appearances don't tell the whole story. From the moment my mom was admitted, the staff made us feel welcome. The Director of Nursing personally came to meet us, introduced herself, and brought in my mom's nurse and CNA to introduce them as well. She explained everything clearly, answered every question we had, and made sure we felt comfortable with my mom's plan of care. The nurses and CNAs were absolutely amazing. They treated my mother with kindness, dignity, patience, and compassion every single day. It was obvious they truly cared about her, and that gave our family so much peace of mind. I can't thank the staff enough for the wonderful care they provided. If you're looking for a rehabilitation facility for someone you love, I highly recommend LaDora Nursing and Rehabilitation. The people who work there genuinely care, and that made all the difference for our family

My mom needed a place to go after being in the hospital for a couple weeks & I was very impressed with this facility along with the staff. All my questions or concerns were answered quickly by a very sweet young lady named Danelle, She's absolutely amazing plus super helpful & The staff was helpful too.

My mother passed away six weeks ago while under this facility’s care, and I am still waiting for answers. To this day, no one from the facility has called to explain what happened, offer condolences, or follow up with me after I raised serious concerns and questions surrounding the circumstances of her death. The complete lack of communication and compassion during one of the most difficult times of my life has been devastating. Before the change in management, the facility seemed to provide much better care and communication. Since the new management took over, my experience has been extremely disappointing. Families deserve transparency, accountability, and empathy—especially when they lose someone they love. This has been one of the biggest regrets of my life, and I don’t want another family to experience the same heartbreak. Please ask questions, visit the facility more than once as things are not what they seem at La Dora.
