My partner‘s grandma had a very pleasant stay with Harborview. The nurses were all very attentive and made sure she had what she needed, they kept us in the loop with her treatment and were so kind to us. You can truly feel the care.

This place and the staff are absolutely terrible! They left my mum soiled for hours, gave her food that they knew she did not eat being a vegetarian. Almost killed her due to empty oxygen tank, thank goodness we were there to hear banging on the wall. Hostile staff when we asked them to help my mum. The nurse was injecting her insulin with the cap on and when we told her she was in denial, no wonder her sugar level was high and above 500 for 3 days straight! They constantly kept her on sleep meds and strong drugs to avoid attending to her. Please DO NOT put you loved ones in this facility, unless you really want them to DIE! I shall be complaining to the Joint Commission and anyone else that will listen to close this hell hole up!

As a former RN and a daughter I have a duty to speak up given someone’s loved could be harmed at this facility. I witnessed first hand a lack of compassion, professional knowledge and experience or care by RNs, theDirector of PT Monica and her subordinate Levonne. Your loved ones health and well being will definitely be compromised as we nearly lost my mother through their incompetence and arrogance. I have reported the following concerns to the JoinT Commission. Concerns that we witnessed/ endured: 1. Oxygen cylinder not changed despite 2 members of staff being told it is running in the nearly empty zone at 4 liters (Levonne & aide) this resulted in my mother having a hypoxic (no oxygen) episode resulting in her being transferred to the ER and subsequently being admitted. The staff told us if we wanted her transferred we had to call 911 ourselves, while they all just left the room! 2. While my mother was having the above episode - we heard knocking on the wall of the restroom(thankfully we were there and heard) aide struggling to hold my unresponsive mother’s head up - she stated she had pulled the emergency code but no one has come!!! 3. Giving insulin with needle sheath still in place for 3 days! 4. No PT transfer plans or teaching to Aides for 4 days… 5. Given shrimp and eggs despite being told everyday no meat, fish, eggs 6. Table with meals and water left out of patient reach. 7. Mother’s care regressed to her being incontinent because it took hours to respond to her call light and request for restroom or bedpan. 8. Wheelchair equipment left on dirty bathroom floor. 9. The EMT pointed to the set up IV infusion showing me the excessive air bubbles in the line approx 3mls plus - I told him the RN had just primed that prior to the incident Apparent that-she thought that was ok or did not care!!! 10. Chairs in disrepair (spring hanging down, cracked seating, dirty and rusty wheelchair. My mother went from needing a few days/weeks of rehab to aid her mobility to a distinct mental decline and to hospice care at home. Please, please take heed of my review for the sake of your precious loved one.

CNA and nursing staff retaliation against me asking that my father not be up in the chair soiled for 10 hours costed my dad pneumonia and bilateral pulmonary embolism. I doubt they got him up after that complaint. Much more but I plan to speak to DCF as well as the accrediting body.

I was a patient here from July 1st to August 16th. In all that time I never met one staff member who was not kind, compassionate and caring. The techs, nurses and therapists are all awesome. Everyone went above and beyond to care for me. I'm eternally grateful for their support.
