Everything came on suddenly with my brother in law. Dawn was a tremendous help in letting me know what was needed for his stay. She gave constant encouragement throughout a difficult time. She was very patient with me, answering all my questions and explaining her answers if I needed clarification. Dawn was always pleasant and friendly, it has been reassuring for me to have her take the opportunity to be of service. Thank you

My mother resided here for a little over four months prior to her passing and I cannot say enough positive things about the place itself and the staff. The place was always clean and my mother enjoyed all her meals. The staff was fantastic. Everyone involved in her care was kind, compassionate and caring. They all knew her name and she told me many times, “They all know my name!” I didn’t know all of their names, but Nurse Lori on the 100 wing and CNA Dustin, who I believe filled in wherever he was needed, were two of my favorites. They treated Mother like she was their own. I highly recommend Jamestown Nursing and Rehab and would like to thank everyone there for their care and compassion.

My husband was there for nine weeks after a fall. The new Director( first name Kelvin) had just come to try to sort out what the problems were, so we probably were there at its worst point. My husband came home the day before Thanksgiving 2024. The Physical Therapy Director was absolutely the biggest problem there. She tried to send my husband home after three weeks even though insurance would cover much longer. The orthopedist knew nothing about her trying to send him home at three weeks until I called and told him. He intervened, and my husband was there until it was safe for him to put at least 40% of his weight on the leg and hip, and that was at nine weeks. The physical therapist did not work with him after the first three weeks however. Kelvin thanked me for digging in my heels and making sure my husband got good care and telling him where I felt the problem was. As we were packing him to go home, Kelvin had the Physical Therapy Regional Supervisor there speaking with the physical therapist, and also spoke to my daughter and me about what his care had been like. She was not happy! Nursing staff was excellent. I am a retired nurse, and they were great. The place itself needed a lot of TLC that it had not had for some time, but otherwise , it was fine.

I have been trying desperately for two years to get my brother some help. He is recovering from drug and alcohol addiction at a young age of 53. He has been recently diagnosed with alcohol dementia a several other disabilities. He is unable to hold a job and also care for himself. I have reached out to multiple facilities, programs, and resources to try to get him assistance only to be turned down over and over again. I was also told I would probably have to hire an attorney to get him on disability and that it would take 6 months to a year to even get an answer. Just when I thought there was no hope, Jamestown Health and Rehab came out and completed an assessment on my brother. They were very professional, yet very caring and compassionate. They told me they would do everything they could to try to help us. Then, I was able to meet with Samantha Green who has been the greatest blessing of all. She told me that they were going to accept my brother and help me with the process of getting all the correct paperwork submitted. Since then he has been getting the best care i could have hoped for at this facility. The staff have been absolutely incredible. My brother is happier than he has been in a long time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
