If you are looking for a facility where your loved one will be cared for and where staff will communicate with you honestly and promptly, I urge you to think carefully before choosing Highmark Senior Living. On September 2nd, my father fell during the night. As his emergency contact, my mother should have been notified immediately. She was not. When we raised concerns, we were told a call had been placed at 3:30 a.m. with a voicemail, and that my mother returned the call at 3:50 a.m. We verified through phone records that none of this ever happened. Instead of admitting the lapse, the explanation we received directly contradicted the facts and implied that my mother had not been truthful. When I sent a formal letter to management asking for accountability and assurances that communication failures would not happen again, I received no response for nearly a week. This lack of acknowledgment speaks volumes. For families searching for a senior living facility, know that reliable communication and trust are absolutely essential. From our experience, Highmark Senior Living has not demonstrated either. If communication and honesty are priorities for you in choosing care for a loved one, I recommend looking elsewhere
