Our mother was at Arbor Springs for 18 months. She started in skilled nursing after a fall and then moved to long term care. We visited several times a week and really got to know the staff and see the amazing care they provided to everyone. We were impressed and comforted that our mom was getting the best care possible. Dementia residents are a challenge and vary widely in their condition and needs. The building is organized into wings and gave it a small community atmosphere. There is a central area for group activities. Support staff (mental engagement activities, housekeeping, maintenance and more) were engaging and very good at their job. Calling residents by name. Administrative and nursing informed us when health changed and what they were doing in response to it. CNAs are the central point of care and their ratio to residents was high. We felt Arbor focussed on quality of care and staffing, the things that most impact residents lives.

I took a tour of Arbor Springs to place my wife who has late stage Alzheimer’s. I was shown a room that was available & the person giving the tour said my wife should be able to move in immediately. My Hospice nurse called to make arrangements & they were told the room was not available because they were reserving it for a possible rehab patient. After hearing this second hand I met with the administrator, head nurse & person who gave the tour. The administrator said it was a financial decision for the benefit of the facility because they would make more money on a rehab resident than an Alzheimer’s resident. It’s funny they advertise themselves as an award winning facility devoted entirely to the care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease & related dementias. It appears there is more emphasis on corporate greed than award winning Alzheimer’s care.

Our family can't say enough good things about Arbor Springs. Our mother spent the last six months of her life at Arbor Springs and we feel blessed she was able to spend it with people who truly cared about her. We appreciated the honesty and integrity of the staff. It's hard to lose a parent, especially one struggling with advanced dementia. Arbor Springs made the end of life process so much easier. We would recommend it to anyone. We miss all of our Evergreen friends......

Took great care of my mother for about six months. Staff was very caring and kind. Food and therapies were very good. The only issues I’ve had are related to administration. I was told I’d receive a refund for the days I paid for after my mother passed within sixty days. It’s now been two months and no matter how many times I’ve followed up in person or via phone I get no answers as to when I will receive the refund. Also I am waiting for a tax document (1099?) that was due to be mailed no later than January 31st for her medical expenses so our CPA can file her tax returns and no one seems to know what to tell me. I’m just trying to wrap up her estate.
