I would have left 5 stars, because the facility is convenient to get to, the staff seemed friendly, professional & inviting. But if wasn't for the fact that my mom's room smelled of urine & the air conditioner didn't look very clean & it wasn't her because she just gotten there 1 day ago. The other problem was the shared bathroom had no locks on the doors to prevent someone from the other room from entering while she was in there or coming in her room unwanted through the bathroom.

They only schedule patients for showers twice a week and on numerous occasions the patients would not take a shower on their scheduled days because this place claims they were short staffed. A patient had a stroke and was laying on the floor for an unknown amount of time. The amount of time is unknown because the staff here doesn't know and also couldn't provide anymore details about what happened because they don't know. The staff here is only here to collect a check and the building is old inside and out. Don't send your family here

This place is very clean. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. Ms. Joyce, is so nice, she accommodated family time for my mother birthday which my siblings and I was able to enjoy. Ms. Findlay, was also very helpful making sure my family is comfortable with the care services my mother is receiving. They also respond to messages and calls without any issues. Love the care services. Thank you

This has not been an easy process for me and my family. My grandmother has never been in a nursing facility. We have taken care of her home as long as we could at home. From the day my grandmother was transported from the hospital to Highland Care Center it's been a breath of fresh air. Thank you to all the Administration staff and the Administrator that address all my concerns in a timely matter. My family feels at home and safe that's all we can ask for! I want to Thank all the staff for your services.

While the nurses were preparing my cousin for an outing to her daughter’s wedding, another cousin and I were waiting in the lounge. There was a woman who was brought in and was placed by the window. A few minutes later she was crying and when I asked what the problem was, she noted she was cold. I asked one of the nurses if they could bring her a blanket or sweater and they brought it right away. Both my parents spent time in nursing homes and the nurses aren’t always as attentive and instead of saying “she is always complaining” as has been said to me, they listened and acted. They also helped get my cousin ready early so that we could take her out as previously requested with without attitude or complaints. Thanks for the positive attitudes. Not something that is easily found at some centers. My cousins mother is also in the home for rehab but they still put them in adjoining rooms although her daughter is there for long term. When my mother was in a rehab nursing center previously, they had rehab patients on a different floor so I appreciated the accommodations they made for the family.
