Nesha from pain medicine was exceptionally helpful. She went beyond what most would to make sure I got my pump replaced. She is very caring and a delight to work with. The nurses and most of the CNAs were great. They were there when I needed them. Rachel from transport was excellent. She is definitely an asset to company. And lady April went out of her way to Make sure things were done like they were suppose to be. The only complaint I have is the food. I’m sorry but most of it was not very appetizing. And Patrica the nurse practitioner was beyond wonderful. Such a pleasure to be around. And she took care of your problems right away . Kesha from pulmonary was an absolute doll. I looked forward to her visits. She was concerned and she showed it.

I would give this place a zero if I could. I am shocked at anyone who give a good review, but anyway. My father in law was put in this facility after being in the hospital he was there a few weeks and we tried to take him out early. The Social worker told me and my sister in law we could not do that the Dr. and Physical therapy would not sign off because he was still weak and was falling when they would walk him. She also said it would be against medical advice and we would have to pay they whole stay if we took him out. She also assured us that is cost was covered by insurance if therapy would need extended anyway he ended up with a server uti that went unrecognized til I called nurses station informed he possibly had one they tried antibiotic but he had to go the hospital for it while there they dr asked if he had fallen or been jerked up by someone catching him when he was falling i asked why he had damage to his liver that was bleeding with a hematoma on it. I told the Dr. About the conversation with the Social worker. I then went to Hawthorne went to the Social worker she then called the Administrator and Adon they came in I told them what the dr had said the Administrator then told me the Dr from Brandon hospital always accuses the nursing home that he has not fallen there a bunch of lies. A month or so later at South Florida Baptist hospital the dr in the er asked about the injury to the liver if he had fallen he could tell it was older I let him know about this facility and there lies. We decided at the time not to pursue anything because he didn't lose he life over although it caused him great pain and trauma plus a longer set back which he hasn't fully came back from. And they also had the Nerve of it all to send us a bill which my husband paid and I am trying to get back because now it's about principle My Father in law gets injured, then they lie, and think they should get money. I have called several staff, left messages, no return call which I don't expect much else. This place is not where I would ever put a family member and assure my friends won't either.

Nurse practitioner Patricia Robinson provided excellent care for my mom. She made frequent visits, listened to our concerns and kept us up-to-date on her progress. She is an asset to the Hawthorne team.

92 yo mother has been there only 2 days but the facility is well maintained and attractive. Everyone is required to sign in and out which is a plus. The nursing staff seem committed to helping the patient transition to their new surroundings and seem very competent. My mother has been here for a couple of weeks. The staff are very professional and compassionate. They are attentive as possible and seem to take a genuine interest in their patients. My mother has no complaints, nor do I. Food selection is varied and presented well. My mother has now been in rehab for about a month. I would like to express how professional and compassionate the rehab staff have been. They encourage and ensure their wards receive the assistance they need in regaining their ability to take care of themselves. Kudos.

Patricia my nurse practioner, has been a wonderful compassionate nurse practioner for me while I have been here at Hawthorne. I also compliment Nisha my other nurse practioner for the same care. Nisha was VERY helpful forbwarning me to be careful notbto overuse a non opioid pain reliever because of possible adverse reaction with my one kidney & now I found out that Patricia is the one who suggested Nisha talk to me! I'm telling you to be grateful to these women that they are both on top of patient care as they look after us! Posted by Connie D'Alessandro
