I had to spend over 4 weeks here and when I first arrived I was kind of scared of the condition I was in. The staff went above and beyond to reassure me that I would get better over time. Do to the motivation that the nurses, aides, therapy and office staff gave me it kept me strong. The Food was pretty decent. I was blessed by everyone but there are 3 individuals that I want to really give praise to and that is Simone, Alex and Nicole who are aides. They were always there to help me get what I needed and offer strength when I was weak physically and emotionally. My mom passed away while I was here and those ladies helped me keep at peace.

My father in law is under golden living care. They have repeatedly failed to get him transportation to make his doctors appointments. The rooms are run down and could use a major update. The nurses have been friendly and caring. Managment needs major improvement. Unfortunately no other nursing home in the area is willing to take care of dialysis patients or we would have him in another facility.

Super spectacular service. Caring Compassionate Super Spectacular Staff. Terrifically Terrific Place. They care about the patient and that makes it easier for the family members. God bless everyone at Golden Living Center. Stay positively positive and keep up the wonderfully wonderful work

My mom has been at GL in portage for 3 1/2 years. The staff in memory care are amazing. My mom, compliments and loves all the staff. Thank you for your wonderful, caring staff, Alice, Karen John?, all cna’s and many more.

I've been sitting here in my grandmother's room for 2.5 hours and not one staff member has come down to check on her. My grandmother is blind and can't move her hands. I quietly have been sitting here waiting and when I brought it to their attention they were extremely rude. Never bring anyone to this place if you want quality care!
