Majority of the CNA if you want to call them that are disrespectful. No compassion, no sense of urgency, no communication skills. I would not let my dog stay in this place or the other place directly down the street. From the Director who clearly is a phony and full of it actually stands behind her staff which is insane. This place and the affiliate location also in Inman should be in my personal and professional opinion SHUT DOWN 👎 . Ricki and Teyana the only two encounters that deserve a mention but these ladies need to take there services somewhere else and not have there skills associated with this disgusting facility. I pray this gets to someone who will really take a look into this place and regroup. I don't even think some of the staff had any schooling on the facts of life. In closing, I would highly recommend if your love ones are here take them out ASAP and if your love one needs service please DO NOT leave them with this establishment. To have anyone wait to be cleaned up for over an hour is unacceptable. I'm sure anyone in this place would not like to sit in their waste while the staff eats chic fi la and congregates to talk about the patients. Just disgusting and diabolical. The meetings they would conduct would consist of absolutely no information at all. If you are going to be in the business of care, please have that already in you. Compassion and empathy go a long way.

The folks at Golden Age are so friendly and I want to let everyone know that they have the best rehab people you could possibly have. Hunter, PT and Candace,OT were the most patient and understanding therapists. They actually make the patient look forward to their therapy sessions.<br>Also, when my spouse had to be taken to a Dr. appointment, the lady that drove him in the company van was great. He advised the administrator that he never felt so safe. She made sure his wheelchair was attached well and made sure he was comfortable. She also paid strict attention to every detail around them while she was driving and was so very patient while he was at the appointment. I could post alot more great things about this place, but the main thing that both of us want to say to everyone involved with Golden Age is<br>Thank You All and we feel that we have gained family here. Thank you so much for all you've done.

My father spent three weeks at Golden Age after being diagnosed with glioblastoma. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing.<br><br>The facility itself is outdated, poorly maintained, and often felt dirty and unventilated. It appears as though very little has been updated in decades. While there were a few nurses and CNAs who were kind and compassionate, many others seemed disengaged and lacked the empathy that families desperately need during such a difficult time. Compassion should be a basic requirement for anyone caring for vulnerable patients, especially those facing terminal illnesses.<br><br>What makes this review necessary, however, is not the age of the building or the cleanliness issues. It is the way my father was treated during the final 48 hours before his discharge.<br><br>As his glioblastoma progressed, he began experiencing continuous convulsions that became increasingly violent. He was unable to sleep, and our family repeatedly asked for medication or intervention to provide him with some relief. We were repeatedly reassured that what we were witnessing was a normal part of his condition. Meanwhile, we watched him suffer while his symptoms continued to worsen.<br><br>Watching a loved one endure constant convulsions without adequate relief was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. What made it even more difficult was feeling that our concerns were not being taken seriously. Even when it became clear that his condition was rapidly deteriorating, there was no meaningful effort to stabilize him before transport.<br><br>Thankfully, once my father was admitted to VCare Hospice, the difference in care was immediate. The hospice nurse quickly assessed the situation, provided appropriate treatment, and was able to stop the convulsions. More importantly, the staff treated my father with dignity and treated our family with genuine compassion.<br><br>The team at VCare Hospice showed my father and our family more empathy and attentive care in a single day than we experienced during three weeks at Golden Age.<br><br>I cannot imagine how patients without family members present to advocate for them are treated. No family should have to watch their loved one suffer and feel unheard during the final days of life.

Just went with my niece to drop off her mother ( my sister ) at Golden Age in Inman S.C, . I was very impressed with the nurse, ( Tracie ) she helped us with this process, she helped to put each of us at ease and even had my sister laughing and dancing. So on one of the worst days of our lives she was very helpful and Iam thankful to her. As for the building itself it seemed very clean, but I did not like the smell and I was disappointed with 3 beds in one room, but my niece thinks that is only temporary. That’s my only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Staff seemed very upbeat and cheerful toward the residents. So grateful to God for these people because it takes special people who work these jobs and take care of our loved ones. I pray for each one of you, ( Keep up the good work ), well this is 3 days latter and we have to pick our love one up , she was on a 72 hour trail period. She was rejected, they told my niece she was trying to get out and it was not safe for her to be there. We don’t understand not safe behind locked doors with a staff of at least 7 or more? Tracie the woman that checked her in was not there to give us a legitimate reason. Everyone there seemed to be puzzled about the situation as well as we were. (We thank the staff for their kind words and taking care of our loved one ) !!!

The staff at Golden Age took excellent care of my mom who was there post open heart surgery. My mother also was dependent on a walker and limited to mobility due to pain from her lower extremities that she had before the heart surgery. The staff at Golden Age not only worked with her previous limitations but they improved her activities of daily living. Gayle with physical therapy was awesome! She helped and encouraged my mom every day. Jada and Niya the CNA’s were phenomenal. There were so many different people involved in her care that exceeded our expectations. Her recovery was speedy and without complications, she was able to come home 8 days prior to predicted discharge date. The staff overall is a 10/10, from behind the desks to hands on care. Golden Age, thank you for giving me my mom back.
