We worked with 2 caregivers with the Duncan Visiting Angels. Both were excellent. Dad was more than a little hesitant to have a female caregiver at first, but both Portia and Christina quickly won him over. The new faces, conversations, companionship, and assistance with bathing, coupled with being given the utmost respect was very beneficial to my dad. I do think that both ladies helped prepare dad for the VA home and make him more receptive to the help he really needed. Being finally able to leave the house and not worry about dad really did wonders for me, too. 24/7 caregiving is tough, but Portia and Christina were a blessing .
Thank you to everyone at Visiting Angels. I encourage anyone with a veteran to seek benefits. If you are lucky, your senior or veteran could end up with one of these 2 wonderful ladies.
Kelly C

They do not pay well. I use to be a CNA. Had my certification for over 10 years. But became a coordinator ( still in healthcare and still do what CNA do from time to time). I also went back to tech and got my phlebotomy certification. Let me say this again been in healthcare since I graduated from High School ( I’m 40 now and healthcare is all I know).Tell me why I applied for a part time position and they offered me 15$. Let that sink in. Today’s time you need more than one income to maintain so I work part time and full time still in healthcare. You can search up my name and see I was certified at one time. So I’m not lying and I’m very knowledgeable about a lot of things when it comes to CNA and I have worked with sooo many different people from different walks of life. But this was an insult to me and there is no telling what this company makes an hour for aides to go out into the community and do the actual work. Let this sink in. I never showed for the interview. But if you need the help raise the pay rate.

Jeanette and her team do an excellent job of standing in the gap for our family. It puts me at ease to know that the women who take my mother out to her activities are caring and professional. She enjoys her time with them, and they make her feel valuable and cared for. I recommend Visiting Angels to others who are looking for quality care for their loved ones.
