Frankfort Terrace is an intermediate care center in Frankfort, Illinois that provides custodial care to individuals unable to care for themselves primarily due to chronic mental health issues, including cases with dual diagnoses, substance abuse, or other compounding conditions.
The facility offers comprehensive and individualized care designed to help residents manage the challenges of chronic physical or mental illness. Frankfort Terrace has received recognition including the 2023 National Association of Rehab Providers and Agencies (NARA) Impact Award for its life skills program, which features modules on key competencies for independent living, G.E.D. preparation, and health literacy.
Residents live in a homelike environment with semi-private rooms and tastefully appointed accommodations. The facility provides meals, laundry services, beauty and barber services, on-site religious services, and community outings to support residents' daily needs and quality of life.
The community's life skills program has expanded from its original seven modules to thirteen total modules, created and overseen by staff including Linda Riccio, OT/L, Vice President of Therapy Services, to better meet residents' mental health needs and prepare them for discharge.
