Not too long ago, we left a detailed 5-star review because of how amazing this facility was, and a huge part of that was Tia in Admissions. She actually stayed on us about leaving a review, asking almost every time she saw us if we had done it yet. She treated our family with kindness, kept us informed, and always made herself available. Because of her and the experience we had, we felt comfortable bringing our loved one back.

Sadly, this time was completely different.

(We did a second tour because our mother had not seen the facility yet.) The person in Admissions who gave us the tour was rude, seemed like they did not want to be there, and made us feel like a burden instead of a family trusting them with someone we love.

After my father was admitted, our concerns grew. He called me multiple times throughout the night because no one was answering when he needed help. His medications were not given on time, his catheter overflowed onto the floor more than once, and he was sent to the hospital with a new cut on his leg that was not there before.

When we asked if a family member could stay overnight because we were worried, we were told it was “against the rules.” This left us questioning residents’ rights and a family’s ability to advocate for their loved one.

We are truly disappointed because we returned based on the positive experience we had before. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. We can no longer recommend this facility and hope management takes these concerns seriously.

We want to clarify that mentioning Tia is not to put anyone down. We are only explaining why we originally gave such a positive review and why we felt comfortable returning.
