Unfortunately my experience with Family Bridges was not positive and we ended up having to find another resource. The main issue was their constant inability to fill the shifts we required. I am not sure if their problem is just being understaffed but I found myself on numerous occasions having to take care of my husband, who needs a lot of assistance with his daily need, on my own. We had an aide scheduled who simply did not show up. We also experienced a significant theft while one of their aides was in our house taking care of my husband. Their rates are also higher than most agencies but if their service was above average we would have been happy to pay-unfortunately it was not.

We were very disappointed in the home care service provided to us by Family Bridges. it started out ok but quickly deteriorated to the point that we we were left without any coverage for multiple shifts. My husband is in a wheelchair and needs a lot of assistance getting in and out of bed, getting dressed and toileting I was left having to perform these tasks because they could not provide us with an aide. We also had a theft of a number of expensive items while their carers were with us. Finally they are more expensive than most home care services. We would have been glad to pay the extra if their service was of a higher quality but unfortunately it was not.
