When I'm there, I see people smiling and working hard. I see the residents playing the piano and working on puzzles together in the common area. Workers taking people to showers and to activities, feeding them and getting them ready for a family meet or appointment or just for the day. Doctors and nurses going room to room checking in on patients, and yes, occasionally sitting down at a computer to write down even a little of all they have done. I believe that they truly care and it shows.

I was there for 20 days to recuperate from a hip replacement and pelvis fracture at the end of 2025. After hearing about some other places I decided to write a review. First of all the lady in the office, maybe manager, came down the hall and greeted staff and patients. The charge nurse did the same. This set an atmosphere of happiness. The facility itself had nice seating areas and grounds if you could get outside. The communication was good between staff and myself and I noticed them encouraging other residence as well. The place was bright, welcoming and fresh. I did get around with aids because I went to PT once I was able. They came to my room for PT and OT when I was unable to walk. There was a time when a staff member was sick, the charge person filled in which was nice. Communicate about food and it will go ok. All and all, I had pleasant people and staff that wanted to see me improve. My family and friends were welcome, a dog friend even came to visit. They helped me with what I needed to manage at home and it was a good visit.

Staff will not follow doctor’s instructions. Patient constantly upset, doesn’t get some meals, meds, etc. Have been on many numerous calls with staff. I’m her daughter and am very frustrated with them promising to return calls…nothing! Would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

EVH has great engagement with their patients; my dad was always doing activities that kept him not only engaged but also put a smile on his face. He would often talk of and get excited for the upcoming events. The EVH staff is kind, caring, and treated their patients with respect. My dad was very found of several of the nurses and aides that took great care of him, despite his challenging behaviors. My dad would get so excited when his favorite aide and or nurse which warmed our hearts.
