I’ve been coming to volunteer and visit residents since Linden Square opened. We come from St Andrew Catholic Church to visit individual residents. Spending time one on one with the residents is my joy! Their Life Services Activity Room is provided for us to have a full Mass to worship once a month. Many residents are regularly participating and love that our priests come for this! The smiles on the staff members faces make my visits so rewarding, too.

Linden Square goes above and beyond. They have an exceptional staff that care deeply for their residents, provide exceptional care, and work together to promote living your best life. The nursing care team is incredible, but the heartbeat of the building resides in the activities department. There, they create a safe space for residents to enjoy living. They apply research based practice to adapt the environment for maximum participation and enjoyment of a very full activities calendar, keeping residents moving and grooving. Lastly, they don't just look out for their residents. They want families supported, as well, and have a monthly Dementia support group for those struggling with the changes dementia and Alzheimer's disease. There is no better place than Linden Square.

My father was a resident at Linden Square for three years. He was a proud veteran of World War II and during his stay he really enjoyed the Men's Club activities especially the emphasis in honoring the veterans. The staff was also very courteous, caring, and treated him with the utmost respect.

My mother has been a resident at LS for 2 years. From the first visit to gather information to now, our family has been blessed by the care our mom has received. It is close to our home, our church, etc. so it’s easy to stop in at any given time to visit or take her out for an outing. Trisha at the front desk always greets us by name and with a smile and is efficient and willing to help find any answer we have a question about. Though there are multiple shifts of caregivers who assist our mom, they all personally know, care and adore her. Though I wish I could remember all their names, I thank each of you for who you are - kind and respectful to all these precious folks.

Bonnie and Jake, the activity coordinators are beyond enthusiastic and kind to each and every one of the residents. The plethora of activities and opportunities for the residents to stay active socially is beyond remarkable. As other reviewers have shared, they knock on each and every door to personally invite these folks to join in. Bonnie invites outside groups to come in to entertain the residents. Our church, Trinity Lutheran in town, LOVES to come yearly to sing Christmas carols with the residents. Though their memory may be fuzzy, to see tears of joy roll down their faces as they sing along with us is the greatest blessing we could ever receive.

Geoff, the new administrator is also involved with the well-being of the residents. He oftentimes can be found connecting with the staff, visiting with the residents, and meeting with family members to ensure that their questions/concerns are answered (which he did for me recently). He is a great listener and truly cares about the quality of care he expects every resident to receive.

Newly hired Chef Jason has raised the bar for menu choice/quality of food. He’s just recently implemented a monthly brunch to encourage family members to join in. Mother’s Day will feature such a brunch, complete with a carving station, which we can’t wait to enjoy with my mom.

From the maintenance team, the laundry staff, the housekeepers, the caregivers - each and every one of them are remarkable. You treat our mom and every resident like family. God bless you all.

As our mom says many times over, “This is my home. I don’t want to be anywhere else. They are all very kind here and take good care of me.” That pretty much says it all!

With gratitude-
Diane Amerman
