I wish I could give this place more stars. My nana came here after a resection of a large tumor. The rehab sector and all the staff there are amazing. I love Deb the nurse and there’s a wonderful LNA that has a sunshine cow scrub top can think of her name right now. They all go above and beyond. My nana had to transition to long term care because of her medical conditions. This place does an AMAZING JOB with medication management for her. She gets the right medications and on time now which was something she struggled with on her own. They make sure she eats asks if she wants snacks. Another thing she struggled with remembering to eat on her own. They check in on her multiple times a day. You can tell they all really love their jobs. They make sure she taken care of with her dignity and privacy in mind at all times. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is what you make it. You need to be involved in your families care plan in order to really see how amazing this place is. Chuckie the respiratory therapist took time to talk with me and hear my concerns about managing her COPD & Emphysema diagnosis. I truly trust the care 100% at this place.

I've been inpatient for a couple of weeks. I'm here for pulmonary rehabilitation. The care I've received has been nothing short of miraculous. Dr. Jamie Collard's attention to detail is seldom seen nowadays. You'd never know he is also the medical director. He practices not so much the science of medicine but more the art of medicine. He just left my bedside on a Saturday of memorial day weekend. The staff respiratory therapist is a virtual rock-star! His knowledge and individualized care is revolutionary. His expertise with deeply technical pulmonary and highly technical equipment far exceeds any respiratory therapist I've met. There aren't adequate words to describe the amazing care received from this therapist. The attention given by the nurse practitioners makes me feel like we are a team. I make a concise list of issues for the nurse practitioners that they act on. I don't spend my time here negatively, but rather I make the situation as positive as I can. It accomplishes more, using less resources. As with every single medical facility in the NH Seacoast region, there are staffing shortages. My belief is that many of these negative reviews are written by disgruntled staff. I've been to other pulmonary rehabilitation facilities, none can hold a candle to this place. The synergistic strength of these care teams are a blessing.

First of all DO NOT SEND ANYONE HERE!! I understand firsthand all about the staffing shortages, the huge amount of residents each person is taking care of etc but let me tell you! Call bells ringing for over 20mins UNACCEPTABLE !! Not giving someone a snack even if they refuse u offer !! When someone is telling you they are in pain YOU LISTEN and help you absolutely do not come in ripping covers off looking at someone quickly and say your fine! REALLY!! if you can't have compassion in your job don't do it, if you can't be kind to someone's loved one don't work there!! Listen I have 28yrs of nursing under me and let me tell you the reviews here speak for themselves!!! This place puts on a good show but behind the scenes they are absolutely TERRIBLE!! no wonder why people leave so many bad reviews and it's a wonder the state hasn't been in for the neglect I've seen!!!! You have a duty you signed up for this and these poor residents and rehabilitation residents didn't ask to be there they were not given a choice!!!! But I am telling you stay clear because this place treats residents so badly!!!!!!

What a pleasant surprise Dover Center turned out to be. After a 2 week stay in an acute care hospital I was sent to Dover to continue my healing, strengthening and preparation to home after a complex surgery. The staff (including nursing, rehab, and administration) made this transition as smooth as possible. They were really there for me treating me with empathy, kindness and professionalism. The facility itself was top notch and clean. Everyone & I mean everyone seemed to genuinely care about me and my daily improvement. My only negative comment and it’s really not negative that the 3 Rehab disciplines (PT, OT & SLP) we’re so encouraging and good at what they do that my insurance company felt I was ready to go home although I wanted to stay, continue strengthening and maximize my recovery. Thank you Dover Care.
