Nedjie Antoine (Gigi) is our Program Director, and she really makes it happen. Yesterday was our casino trip, and we had a big group on the Discovery Village bus. Thanks, Hakeem, for your usual excellent driving. Gigi plans lots of fun and interesting activities for our residents. One of the highlights for me last month was the Reptile program. This month, the casino and my birthday celebration were my favorites. I am looking forward to our Hawaii Party next week. When I am not attending special events, I love to play card games like Hand and Foot and a domino game called Mexican Train. Our Celebrations staff are creative, kind, and patient. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group help us plan our leisure time. Hat's off to Gigi, Program Director Extraordinaire.

Discovery Village and their attentive staff are always warm and welcoming to their senior residents and families who visit often. From their Activities and Wellness staff, and everyone in general, the employees are always professional and genuinely care about their resident's comfort and wellbeing. They constantly encourage their residents to participate and engage in daily activities, games and offer all kinds of entertainment overseen by Gigi and her team. Discovery Village is not only a beautiful community and environment, but is employed by very talented & passionate individuals who thrive to make a difference for their residents and families. Thank you all! ❤️‍🩹

The Activity Director does an excellent job of providing an array of activities for the resident community each day, seven days a week. I want the reader of this assessment to know that that is the reality here at Discovery Village. For example, for those who love to play poker, she schedules that in for a couple of days each week; for those who like to shop or eat out she arranges for that regularly and sets up the necessary transportation in vehicles equipped to handle people needing assistance. There are devotional events scheduled each week, communion services, Bible studies, etc. and also transportation to and from on Sunday to church services. There are exercise programs scheduled each week. Bingo games, movies in the Cinema. She invites in special speakers regularly to address things of interest to the residents. There are special events scheduled in the Lounge to celebrate birthdays. I'm not covering half of what this busy lady and her one full time assistant do...oh yes, she is the one who arranges for residents transportation to and from outside doctor appointments. And all of it with a smile. I have zero complaints...worrying only that some other assisted living enterprise might steal her away from us. Thank you for the opportunity to put my thoughts down on record. By the way, my wife and I have been at Discovery Village Palm Beach Gardens for nearly four years.

I’ve been a resident of Discovery in Palm Beach Gardens for over 2 years. Each day has at least one activity, we have chair yoga, seated exercises for upper and lower body. Some sessions have trivia following exercises while others have Word in a word. All of these activities have been developed by the Director of Recreation are Nedjie (GiGi) Antoine. There are always card or mahjong games in the Game Room. Giggi has instituted a flower club so our dinning room always has flowers for little cost. Many events activities, too many to mention all, are available for every one. Happy hour typically includes live entertainment. Special events/holidays are wonderfully celebrated. I may sound like a broken record but I think “Celebration” is in great hands with Gigi and her assistant Anisia.

Discovery Village at Palm Beach Gardens has been my mom’s new home for the past 3 months. She couldn’t be happier. The staff, meals and all the engaging activities are wonderful.
