I helped out with getting donations for the prom that the activity department held for the residents this year and I just wanted to give all the credit where it’s due , Mrs.Amy Hill the director over activities there and her staff that works under her done an amazing job for this years and every years prom for the residents there , me and my family attend every activity outings Mrs.Hill creates for the residents such as the Fall festivals, egg hunts etc…and we love it and the residents love it and her too . It’s just a blessing to know that someone such as Mrs.Amy is there for the sweet residents that live at Cypress Cove , they could not ask for a better director nor more caring loving person❤️

My mom was there for approximately 3 weeks. She came from the hospital for rehab. She had a small bed sore from laying in CICU for a couple weeks. We thought they were treating it at cypress. But when she left to go home to her assisted living facility they found it and it was so much bigger and super infected. They put in discharge notes there were no skin spots that she was clear. Now she needs rehab AGAIN for wound care. She just wants to be home and now has another set back from lack of care.

My mom has end stage Alzheimer’s and aggressive ovarian cancer & is on Hospice. We arrived at Cypress Cove on Saturday at 1 pm. No one “checked us in” nor did anyone come to her room until 2 hours after arrival to take vitals. No meds were given. She was not looked over to see if she was dirty or wet. At 8 pm, she was finally given a pain pill (should have been on pain meds q 4 hrs). At midnight I asked if anyone checks diapers and I was told that day shift did not inform night shift that she was here. Meds are still not given on time. Her meals are supposed to be puréed but she’s been given ham, chicken, sausage, etc in solid form. I pushed the call button last night at 7:10 pm for assistance as mom was about to be sick and when no one had come to the room by 7:40 pm, I had to walk down to the nurses station and request help. I have been staying with mom 24/7 as I am afraid of the care she would receive if I were not here. The only excuses I’ve been given for such poor performance is that “it’s a holiday weekend”. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! (She is private pay and the cost is unbelievable for this area). We would not be here if there were any other option.
