I visited with my husband to try to find a future residence for my father. Jose i believe took us for a tour on one side of the facility and answered our initial questions. He was very helpful and detailed and very likeable. He advised us that the availability was pending. We were told the Administrator was not in but he would take our information and give it to them and get back with us. A week went by and we really didn't hear anything from anyone. I then called them myself and left a message with a person and gave them my information about who I was, that I had had a tour recently for my father's say, sake and I was just trying to follow up and I never received any phone call back from anyone. I was basically forgotten about. I do believe they could have the decency to let me know so I wasn't hopeful for my father's future. We really wanted him to be close to us.

It's a little poor I had to move from where I was they sold the place for a trillion dollars so I had move so I found a quick place temporary place to live no it's my choice I can stii find another place until I'm here until

On Mother's Day, My grandmother was sent to the hospital with a massive knot on her head. They said she just fell. Come to find out it was a nurse that pushed her down over a comb. The nurses that actually care about the patients are few and far between. Most of the time they're jus for a paycheck.

We placed mom at Currituck House on May 2, 2023. Initially we were impressed with the staff and facilities. Mom only ended up being there less than 1 week. She had a series of falls (none resulted in injury thankfully) and by Monday she was admitted to the hospital, never to return to CH. Her Alzheimer’s had rapidly progressed and she quickly lost the ability to walk or even eat. We brought her back home for her final weeks. All of these events were out of anyone’s control. Our issues with CH came after mom passed. We were told they were expediting a refund which was a relief but 7 months later we still have not received it! The Director no longer responds to our emails or calls. We also have been billed for a prescription that someone ordered for her but she was not even there to get it. We have spent months trying to get that resolved as well. We are very frustrated!<br>I can’t really leave a review about what it’s like to have a loved one live there since mom’s stay was so brief. I can only speak about the run around we’ve been given!

Caring staff made an easy transition for my Dad. He enjoys the food and always brags on how much he has to eat here. Finding The Currituck House was a true Godsend for our family. Thank you Katrena Chamblee and your staff for their dedication in making Currituck House a nice place for Dad to call "home."
