My mother was admitted to long term care here in Feb. 2026. She'd been in other facilities for post-acute, so I knew that these places are all a mixed bag of excellent and sub-standard care.

Pros: Private room, direct phone line, nice view, she liked the food, the shower room was fantastic, and some staff was truly amazing and attentive. Shout out to Alexis, her nurse! When mom started her decline, they caught it sooner than I did and brought in hospice, which I really appreciated. Most of my caregiving journey was me pointing out changes in her status to clinical teams, not the other way around. Grateful for that. We were private pay, but they are one of the nicer facilities in the area that will also accept Medicaid - knowing that was an option is part of why we chose it.

Cons: Higher out of pocket cost than similar facilities. Inconsistent attentiveness from aides and staff. She was deaf and her TV lacked closed captions - it took a few months for them to replace it with one that worked. But they did ultimately replace it. I had to tidy her room quite often - staff would miss the trashcan with their gloves, empty tubes and bottles would collect on the bedside table or dresser. Hard to get someone on the phone. Her iPad was her main form of entertainment along with the TV, and often I would find it out of reach and unplugged. Glad I work up the street and dropped in often.

Like any nursing home, make your presence known and your experience will be better. I feel for anyone who lacks an advocate to make sure their needs are being met.

I never wanted to place her in a facility, but she needed more than we could provide in the home and keep her safe - and they did just that.

When the time came to find long-term care for my loved one, we were referred to Crocker Pointe Health and Rehab. We have been really impressed with the care from the staff and regular meetings to discuss current and future plans for the care of our loved one. Can't recommend them enough.
